After a relaxing conversation with Zick, Sophie and Darell had to go back home. The cooperation with Anton was to start in earnest and having everything more or less under control, they started to apply for new contracts.
This time, knowing that Pilsar was cooperating with Ruslanov, people were more than willing to work with them. During the two days during which Anton was absent, Darell wrote up more contracts that were to be signed at the end of the week.
He did not have much time to check on Don, so at least once a day he asked Sophie how he was.
Having Zick's number, Sophie wrote to her whenever she had a free moment.
Diana was also interested in this new person. Hearing what had happened, of course without the details, she wanted to meet the woman Sophie had befriended.
Tomas was not idle either. Having more free time thanks to Sophie, he decided to get involved as a doctor for Don.
He decided to be closer to his friends and not find out about important things over the phone. He wanted to be with everyone and help in his own way.
Knowing that Darell wasn't in a position to leave the office right now, Sophie arranged with him and the others to take Diana and Tomas to Don's after work.
Slightly nervous and more excited than ever, Diana sat next to Sophie in the car, eager to meet Zick.
Tomas and Darell weren't entirely convinced that it was a good idea to take Diana there.
After all, it was a gangster house and even though they weren't a threat to them, it didn't mean they were the right company for her.
However, knowing Diana, they couldn't convince her to let it go.
When they arrived, Diana looked at everything with admiration.
Armed men, a large house with lots of cameras and security.
When they entered, they went straight to the main room with Sophie. Anton, seeing them enter, immediately went to kiss Sophie and Diana on the cheek and greeted Tomas.
After announcing their engagement, Anton talked to the couple and reassured them that they didn't have to worry about anything. Seeing his approach to the matter, Tomas breathed a sigh of relief.
If Diana liked Sophie's brother, what chance would he have with someone like that?
Fortunately, Diana showed no interest in men and Anton had Noah.
Hearing the commotion in the room, several people came over to greet them.
Sophie, looking towards Zick's station, noticed that she was typing something thoughtfully on the keyboard.
The twins sat next to her, also busy with their work. Seeing Sophie and Diana approaching, they greeted them with a nod and went back to work without saying anything.
Sophie, standing next to Zick, glanced at the monitors and noticed an image from Don's room in the corner of one.
The man was lying on the bed, still unconscious. Zick glanced at the same spot on the screen every few seconds.
However, her work was not disturbed by this at all. Sophie sighed and put both hands on the shoulders of the tense hacker.
Zick jumped up, looking back and seeing the two women. A smile appeared on her tired face.
She stood up and hugged Sophie, glancing curiously at the stranger.
Diana waited for her turn with a big smile. Seeing Zick for the first time, she felt that she would really like to be her friend. She looked cool sitting at the computers and clicking on the keyboard, checking several things at once.
As soon as she noticed that Sophie had let her out of her arms, she threw herself into her arms, surprising the woman.
"Hello Zick! I'm Diana and I'm incredibly happy to finally meet you!" She called out happily.
Zick, glancing at Sophie laughing from the side, patted Diana awkwardly on the back, not really knowing what to do with it.
"Hello Diana. Nice to meet you."
"Have you eaten?" Sophie patted Diana's shoulder, releasing Zick from her arms. Zick just looked at the ground, pursing her lips. That was her answer.
"So what are we waiting for? We're going to the kitchen." Diana called out to Tomas without waiting, and grabbing Sophie and Zick by the arm, they went to make something to eat.
They made themselves at home in the kitchen and made a meal for Zick. In the meantime, Diana spent most of the time talking about different things.
Zick was absorbed in listening to interesting stories, she didn't even notice when she ate everything on her plate.
Every now and then she started asking her new acquaintance about various things, forgetting about her worries for a moment.
Sophie, sitting next to her, was glad that she had brought Diana with her.
She herself was not able to talk to Zick like that. Diana was like an energy boost for everyone she had contact with.
After a longer conversation in the kitchen, the women decided to go check on Tomas. He was supposed to be introduced to Rick and offer help.
Hearing this, Zick just snorted to herself.
"Rick will definitely be delighted. He will be able to fuck around more than ever" She said with irritation.
She had to drag him twice a day to even check on Don. She was really fed up with him. Him and his indifference.
Entering the room, they saw three men standing and talking.
Diana immediately ran up to Tomas to brag that she had met a new friend.
Rick looked with disgust at the excited, shrill woman, who was hyperactively telling quickly what she was doing.
"Fuck..The next one is even worse than the last one" He mumbled under his breath, looking towards Zick.
Luckily, she didn't hear it because all hell would break loose.
Rick only hoped that he wouldn't have to see her again. He preferred peace. He didn't like being disturbed.
Tomas's help was most welcome. He finally had a chance to get someone competent to help him.
Zick, seeing the doctor roll his eyes, snorted to herself. She would have to invite Diana here more often. Let him not count on peaceful days.
After a quick report to her beloved, Zick took them to Don.
Entering the room, she immediately went to him and checked if everything was okay with him.
She spent some time with her friends, not glancing at him. After a few days, he looked much better. In fact, he looked like he was just sleeping and could wake up at any moment.
Diana went to the bed and bowed to the man.
"Nice to meet you Don. I'm Diana, Darell's sister and Zick's new friend. I hope we get along," She said with a smile and a glance at the surprised Zick.
Sophie ruffled the woman's head.
"Good job Diana. I'm afraid our time is running out and we'll have to go back," Sophie told Zick and went to hug her for a goodbye.
Diana quickly joined in, hugging both women. "See you soon and remember to write back because I'm sure I'll write something in no time"
Diana waved eagerly as she and Sophie left the room.
Zick sat next to Don, her expression sad once again. Stroking his cheek, she wondered when she would finally see him giving orders and looking at her with lust.
Sighing heavily, she went to finish her work.
She didn't take her eyes off Vasili, who slowly started going to various meetings. However, apart from them, he didn't do anything suspicious.
Maybe because he thought he had killed Don and Anton wouldn't jump him for now, he started doing something else... Who knows.
Glancing at the late hour, Zhick stretched lazily and returned to Don's room. She took a quick shower and changed into one of her boss's T-shirts.
She put warm water in a bowl and a soft towel.
Like every day, she washed him thoroughly so that he wouldn't feel any discomfort. She changed the dressing on his wound, which was healing quickly.
Putting everything back in its place and checking the drips when she would have to change them, she set her alarm like every day.
Zick woke up before they ran out, to quickly connect the next ones.
Stupid Rick, of course, only showed her how to do it, throwing behind him that he was busy with other things.
Zhick was furious with him but did everything she could without saying a word. She wanted Don to feel better, to wake up, to finally hold her.
Leaning over his sleeping face, she kissed him tenderly on the lips and lay down next to him, quickly falling asleep.
Feeling a splitting headache, he tried to open his heavy eyelids.
In the room, lit by a small night light, he tried to remember what had happened.
He felt as if he had slept for days. His body was stiff from constantly lying in one position.
However, apart from the headache, he felt no discomfort. He raised one arm up, seeing an IV attached to it.
The man frowned as he tried to raise the other arm and was unable to do so. He slowly turned his head to the side and saw someone holding his arm.
His face brightened up immediately, recognizing the sleeping woman.
"Zick" His weak, hoarse voice could be heard in the room.
