Chapter 36 - 36. Panel

Rain's mind raced with excitement. The idea of replicating the BIT in his soul space was a breakthrough—having a computerlike entity inside his soul would give him unprecedented control and power.

First, he dispersed the clock in his soul space. Though he wasn't entirely sure if it would interfere with the formation of the BIT replica, he didn't want to take any chances. Better to have a clean slate.

As Rain focused, his mind raced to solve the puzzle. The BIT, with its two forms—material and energy—was a device that transformed from a physical state into something fluid, seamlessly integrating with his body's genetic energy. Replicating that energylike form in his soul space felt like the key to unlocking its full potential.

His perception honed in on the BIT as it moved through his genetic channels. Observing closely, Rain realized the BIT was composed of hundreds of tiny chips, each smaller than a single cell, yet all identical in structure. It was an elegant design, one that allowed for the seamless flow of information and energy.

Confident in his understanding, Rain copied one of the chips and entered his soul space. There, he formed a single chip, then duplicated it a hundred times, connecting them just as they were in his body. But despite his efforts, nothing happened. The chip remained inactive.

Frustration gnawed at Rain as he tried once again to activate the BIT replica with his soul power, but still, nothing happened. The more he thought about it, the more puzzled he became. The clock had worked so effortlessly, but this—this felt like trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces. Was it simply the complexity of the BIT that made it so much harder to replicate, or was there something fundamental he was overlooking?

Then, a realization struck him—the reason the clock had worked was because he understood it completely. Every gear, every tick, every function. The BIT, on the other hand, was an intricate device with layers of complexity that Rain hadn't fully unraveled. The hundred chips may have appeared identical, but each likely served a unique purpose, and without fully grasping their individual functions, he couldn't recreate it properly.

Determined, Rain shifted his focus. From within his soul space, he connected his thoughts to the BIT embedded in his body, hoping to glean more information. He knew the BIT couldn't explain its creation, but perhaps it could reveal its operational processes.

Before the BIT could send the information, Rain instinctively built a spirit link between the BIT within his body and the replica in his soul space. His heart raced, his hand clenched in nervous anticipation. Then—the knowledge flowed in.

As the information transferred, Rain felt the BIT replica vibrate slightly. He exhaled in relief, unclenching his hand. The data flowed directly into his mind, seamlessly absorbed into his memory, thanks to the nature of the soul space. Since his soul space housed his memories, and the BIT replica was created from his soul power, the information sent there became an instant part of his consciousness.

Rain had been cautious, remembering the times when overwhelming amounts of information had flooded into his soul space too quickly, causing immense pressure and knocking him unconscious. This time, he braced himself, ready for that familiar wave of dizziness, but the BIT replica processed the data gradually. It transferred the information in a controlled, chronological order, feeding it into his soul space bit by bit. The process unfolded smoothly, without overwhelming him.

A surge of satisfaction washed over him. With this breakthrough, Rain realized he was on the path to something far greater—his own soulpowered version of the BIT was finally taking shape.

Filled with anticipation, Rain conveyed his command: "Turn on."

The BIT replica responded instantly, "Turning on."

A few seconds later, the replica in his soul space came to life. Rain quickly realized that calling both the original and the replica by the same name could cause confusion, especially since the replica, now deeply connected to his soul space, responded more closely to his thoughts. To avoid any mixup, he decided to rename the replica "Chip" and sent the thought through their link.

Satisfied with the new name, Rain began thinking about how to use the Chip effectively. His mind buzzed with ideas, but one stood out: he wanted a personal panel that could display his stats, data, and growth metrics in realtime. This would allow him to track his progress and improve more efficiently.

When he conveyed this idea to the Chip, it responded that it required more data to construct such a panel. Without hesitation, Rain instructed the original BIT within his body to transfer all of its stored information to the Chip. The transfer process began smoothly, using the gradual method Rain had tested earlier, ensuring the flow of data didn't overwhelm him.

Once the data transfer was complete, the Chip confirmed it had received all the necessary information. Rain then communicated his thoughts to the Chip again, instructing it to generate the personal panel he envisioned. The Chip complied, and before his eyes, the panel materialized:

Personal Panel:

 Name: Rain

 Realm: Beginning Drank

 Physical: 4 (20)

 Agility: 2 (20)

 Genetic Energy: 3 (20)

 Genetic Energy Refinement: 0.053 (100)

 Techniques:

 Poison Claw 1st chapter (2/9) – 0%

 Life Vine Shield – Nil.

As Rain studied the panel, a wave of accomplishment washed over him. This tool, crafted from his own soul space, could now serve as a guide to track his progress and help him find ways to grow stronger. Though it wasn't the extra time advantage he once had in his dream space, it was a powerful new asset in his fight for survival.

Rain began to decipher the meaning behind the points and numbers. "Physical" represented his vitality, strength, and his body's ability to withstand attacks. "Agility" reflected his speed and reaction time. "Genetic Energy" and "Genetic Energy Refinement" were straightforward, but the numbers in brackets referred to the average limits of a D-rank Genetic Warrior.

The "Techniques" section was also clear: 'Poison Claw (2/9)' meant that he had mastered the first two moves, out of a total of nine, within the technique. The 0% next to it was because he had not yet begun to comprehend poison energy. 'Life Vine Shield' marked as "NIL" was self-explanatory—he hadn't started practicing it yet.

Understanding all this gave Rain a clearer sense of his strengths and weaknesses. Now, he had a tool to track his progress and systematically work toward becoming stronger. He sent a message to the Chip, asking how to increase his strength within quickest possible time. After a few seconds, as it calculates, then the Chip replied: the quickest way was to master the moves of the 'Poison Claw' technique. Rain agreed and began the process. The Chip starts processing and mastering the nine moves.

Rain sat down to meditate while the Chip used his genetic energy and soul energy to power the process. After two hours, he felt the drain on his energy, so he took an energy-replenishing pill to recover his genetic energy. Yet, he still felt drowsy. Shortly after, the Chip stopped, and information about the 'Poison Claw' technique flowed into his mind. It was like watching a movie of himself practicing the technique for days. The process stopped after the sixth move, leaving him with the mastery of the first six moves.

Rain was curious why the Chip stopped and asked for an explanation. The Chip responded that it had been operating in overload mode, using both his genetic and soul energy to quickly master the technique. It halted because his soul energy had diminished and needed time to recover.

"That's why I was feeling sleepy," Rain thought, understanding the exhaustion. He pondered if, after leaving the domain, there were any resources or medicines available to recover his soul energy faster.

As his energy gradually returned, Rain shifted focus. He tuned into the sounds around him, hearing angry growls and pained whines from the wolves nearby. Intrigued, he thought, 'Let's see what the wolves are up to.'
