Rion stands near the central well, his frame broader now, his once-youthful features weathered but strong. His spear leans against the well's edge as he watches a group of children chase each other around the marketplace. Among them, a little girl with bright golden eyes giggles as she darts away from her pursuers, her movements quick and agile.
"Suri!" Rion calls over his shoulder. "She's running wild again!"
A soft laugh answers him, and Suri steps out of their home, wiping her hands on an apron. She's still the same fierce warrior he fell in love with, but now her smile holds a gentler warmth. "She's got your energy, not mine," Suri teases, walking up to him and leaning on the well beside him.
"Our energy, maybe," Rion replies, watching their daughter dodge another child with an impressive twist of her small frame. "She's going to be a handful when she's older."
Suri nudges him lightly. "That's why you're here. To keep her in line."
