He uncorks each vial with care, one by one, and begins pouring the blood into the ocean. The droplets disappear into the water, spreading unseen, and Azure watches, knowing the essence of these creatures will blend with the environment.
Finally, with a slight hesitation, he pricks his finger and lets a few drops of his own blood fall into the water. The moment his blood hits the surface, the ocean reacts—waves ripple outward, and the entire water world seems to pulse, as if acknowledging the infusion of life force.
"It's done," Azure says, wiping his finger on his sleeve. He exhales deeply, looking at the ocean now shimmering under the transparent dome.
"Nexus, you can accelerate time now," he commands. "Ten thousand years per second."
Nexus's voice is calm and measured as always. "Understood, Host. Time acceleration will commence now."
Suddenly, the scene before Azure shifts. The water churns violently for a brief moment, then settles into a serene, rhythmic pattern. Within seconds, the islands flourish. Trees shoot up rapidly, their canopies expanding, twisting into complex ecosystems.
"Three days," Azure mutters under his breath. "Three days, and they'll have evolved for millions of years."
The rapid acceleration of life is overwhelming, and Azure feels a rush of anticipation. He takes a step back, his heart racing as he imagines the potential outcomes. Could intelligent, sentient life arise from this water world just as it had in his first creation? He can already see signs of intricate societies forming in the underwater depths—large, organized schools of intelligent marine creatures, constructing their environments out of coral and rock.
But as much as he wants to witness the details, Azure knows patience is key. Everything is happening far beyond his human perception. All he can do is wait and let time pass.
The next three days are a blur. Azure watches the dome from time to time, but mostly rests, knowing that when the time acceleration ceases, a new, fully evolved world will be waiting for him. A sense of excitement hums in the back of his mind, a hope that this new experiment will push him further toward his goal of achieving a tier-1 life-form.
On the morning of the third day, Azure stands once again on the balcony overlooking his two creations. The time acceleration has stopped, and the water world has fully stabilized. He can feel the energy radiating from it—an almost tangible aura of life and activity. His heart races as he approaches the dome, eager to see what has become of his aquatic world.
Azure peers into the transparent barrier, and his eyes widen at the sight before him. The once empty ocean now teems with life. Schools of fish dart through the water, their iridescent scales shimmering as they move in perfect synchronization. Strange, alien creatures of all shapes and sizes swim in the depths, some with long, sinuous bodies, others with shell-like exoskeletons.
What catches his eye the most, however, are the large creatures gliding through the water. One of them swims close to the surface, and Azure can see that it's about the size of a rat—massive, compared to the tiny ant-sized humanoids of the first mini world. Its sleek, scaled body moves with a graceful rhythm, its eyes gleaming with a sharp intelligence as it surveys its surroundings.
"By the heavens… they're huge," Azure murmurs, his breath catching.
Azure's gaze shifts to the islands dotting the ocean. He can see smaller creatures crawling up onto the sandy shores, their forms bizarre yet fascinating—some with long, segmented legs, others resembling amphibians with muscular limbs. There are even small, bird-like creature flitting between the trees, their wings a blur of color.
But it's the behemoths in the water that truly capture his attention. One of them—a large, serpentine creature with translucent fins and a mouth full of needle-like teeth—rises up from the water's depths. It breaks the surface with a mighty splash, sending ripples across the ocean as it lets out a deep, guttural call that resonates through the dome.
"These creatures… they're nothing like the ones in the first world," Azure whispers, a grin spreading across his face. "They're evolving faster, becoming stronger. Nexus, this is exactly what I hoped for."
"Soon, they might even develop societies of their own," Azure muses, folding his arms. "Maybe they'll create underwater civilizations. Who knows what they're capable of?"
Just as Azure is lost in thought, Nexus's voice breaks the silence, catching him off guard.
"Speaking of civilizations, Host, you might be in for a treat," Nexus says with an air of excitement. "The humanoid creatures in the first mini world—have already started their first settlements. They call themselves Vorrans, a feline-like humanoid race with heightened agility and keen senses. These Vorrans possess sharp reflexes, night vision, and incredible coordination."
Azure's eyes light up. "The first world… they've formed settlements already?"
"Yes, Host," Nexus confirms. "Their physical evolution has given them the tools to adapt quickly, and their natural affinity for hunting and gathering has allowed them to develop communities. It's quite remarkable."
"Stop the time acceleration in the first world," Azure commands, his curiosity piqued. "I want to see them. Show me what these Vorrans look like."
"Time acceleration halted, Host. You may observe them now."
Azure steps back from the water world, his attention fully shifting to the dome containing the first mini world. The lush forests and rolling hills of the small, contained ecosystem come into focus. Tiny creatures scurry across the landscape—though to Azure, they are little more than moving specks. But as he narrows his gaze, Nexus projects a magnified view of the Vorrans onto his mind, allowing him to see them in perfect detail.
The Vorrans are fascinating—humanoid in form, but with distinct feline traits. Their bodies are lean and agile, covered in a fine layer of short fur ranging from tawny brown to jet black. They move with an effortless grace, their large, reflective eyes glinting in the dim light as they go about their daily tasks. Their ears are pointed and twitch at the slightest sound, and their long, flexible tails provide perfect balance as they leap and climb through the dense underbrush.
