Rion nods. "Yes. But I won't take everyone—too many have already fallen tonight." He glances over the assembled Vorrans, assessing their faces. He picks out twenty, each one an elite warrior trained for this kind of fight. "The rest of you stay here, hold the perimeter. If we don't come out, don't wait—return and warn the others."
One of the chosen twenty, a tall Vorran grins fiercely. "Don't worry, Chief. If we go down, we'll make sure it's with a story worth telling."
