After the Goa incident and getting back home some police officers came to us to ask about what we knew regarding that
We all answered the questions the police asked and they left
It seems like the police themselves don't know much about that either and couldn't find any lead
I hoped they would at least find out the 'customer' who paid for me and Sanvi, but the police needed more clues to work with.
Feeling uneasy I printed all the things I got from 'that guy's' phone
Including the photos of the members of the gang, their leader, their connections with other people, where they are, and most importantly the 'customer', and put them all in an envelope
Sneaking in the night I put the envelope in the passenger seat of the jeep of the inspector
The next day in the morning the police came but unfortunately, Miss Sanvi left for work before the police came
They asked Grandma if there was anyone who could be against us, they even showed the envelope to her, she was in shock and I had to calm her down
I talked to the police and made them leave for the time being
Before leaving the inspector asked a policeman to guard us until they could resolve the situation
That was really good of them
After that, nothing happened or changed
Except with Miss Sanvi
She stopped coming and when she does visit us she leaves the day after
Her behaviour changed a lot too after she learned that there was someone who paid for her, she was, almost trembling
Should I have not given away the evidence to the police
I don't know

"Happy Birthday Ashwin" Grandma congratulated me as I blew out 14 numbered candles on the pastry
I offered it to Grandma but she had to deny it because of her diabetes
And with no one else to offer it, I ate the pastry myself
"Grandma when will Miss Sanvi visit us again" She didn't visit us on this birthday either in fact after the Goa incident, we didn't celebrate anything with Miss Sanvi be it a festival, Holi, Diwali, an occasion, New Year, mine or grandma's birthday, her own birthday, she never came
"I don't know her phone was busy" Grandma looked down
"I think she is really busy nowadays we shouldn't bother her" she said as she got up and went to her room, tired
She doesn't show it but Grandma is missing Miss Sanvi as much as me
But what she said was right we shouldn't bother her the only reason she was with us was because Grandpa asked her for that
She doesn't owe us anything and she would be safer in the US than in India, after learning about someone who could be after her
But "I wish I could at least say my goodbye to her"

"Isn't this fascinating Sanvi" Reading the document about Ashwin he said with sparkling eyes
"What do you mean?" I didn't want to talk to him and go back to my work but I couldn't ignore him either
"Ashwin really is more older than his age" he said with a faint smile
"What do you want to say?, say it clearly"
"I am saying he is going back in time without the Wayback engine" He looked at me with his sharp eyes like an animal
"It could also be a psychological condition, what makes you so sure"
"Nothing just a hunch," shrugging he pressed a button on the screen of his table, playing the footage of the hotel in Goa
"Look at him, I paid the local gang to kidnap you and him, just to see what he would do when he learns that his beloved Miss Sanvi is in danger," he looked at me with child-like sparkling eyes "he surpassed my expectations, he was brutal"
"But this doesn't prove that he is going back in time"
"That's right and that's why I sent you to them, to study Ashwin," leaning on his chair "But instead you are playing house with them," he looked back at me "By the way, why didn't you go back to Delhi, to Ashwin"
"What?"
"You are scared of him right" he smirked
"No, why would I be scared of him?"
"Don't say that, I know you more than you know yourself, it's okay to be scared, after all, Ashwin is like a hungry injured lion, who could devour you if you try to help him" with a bored expression he said
"A-Ashwin is not like that"
"You are not convincing anyone Sanvi" he got up and walked towards me
"That's not it"
"Then why don't you visit him," he said with a smirk on his face, standing in front of me "Go back have lunch with them, catch up on the thing, getting back to like you were before if Aswin really going through a psychological condition this whole thing could end and you can still be with him and help him" he said as he continued walking and, stopping, he put his hand on my shoulder "but if he is time leaping, you should be careful with him because what you do now could affect his past," he continued walking out of the room "You do what you want to do, I will get myself some coffee"
"Goodbye Sanvi" He left
