Not just the ones who were going with him, but the entire colony. Their chirpy voices added a comedic undertone to the song, which made the vampire let out a chuckle.
Yet, he had to come back to the task at hand. He was picking roses. Cutting the flowers and storing them in a basket with an expansion and featherlight runes.
Chavu was still ignoring him, for which Marcellus felt like he wanted to scream. When they would meet each other in the tunnels or the clearings before the dungeon, Chavu would slither away as if his life depended on it.
