Loud booing sounds could be heard from the stands. The People had come for blood, not to see circus acts. Marcellus thought that there was something profoundly wrong with the people of this country.
The herald cleared his throat and turned to the champions.
"During the tasks, you are to not use mana, pass what you need to keep yourself alive. As most of you are supernatural beings," the Lich snickered. They were all supernatural beings. Not a human in sight. "We do understand that there is no avoiding that. Now, the first test is a test of wit."
People entered the arena and brought boxes with them. The booing got louder.
