Chapter 3 - the power of a baby

After an hour, they decided on the name 'Alex.' It's a good name, so I am not going to say anything about it.

"Okay, now that we got the name, you two have to go to sleep. It's late," said Bellmere.

"But it's not that late. The sun just set down. Can't we stay up late to play with our little brother?" said Nami, wanting to play with her little brother.

"No, you can't. It's not good for your health," said Bellmere, worried about their health.

After some time, she finally convinced them to go to sleep, and I fell asleep. I hate this body. It needs to sleep too much. What if they take me out while I was sleeping?

Bellmere's POV:

What should I do? Why did I have to take in this baby? I don't have money for these two children. Now I have to take care of another one.

But this kid is weird. He does not cry a lot. I'm not complaining. That's good for me, but something is wrong with him.

As she walked into the kitchen to see what's missing, she found that most of the meat was eaten, and some seasoning was low, so she had to go shopping tomorrow.

"I just hope I don't find another kid tomorrow, or I'm just going to kill myself if no one takes him in," she thought, as she knows she won't have the heart to leave the kid alone.

After some time, she went to bed too.

The moment she woke up, she got Alex, who was awake, and went to the door, but the moment she got near it, Alex started crying.

MC's POV:

"No, no, please, anything but outside. I don't want to lose my only way of surviving in this world," I started to cry to get her to leave me in the house.

She got worried and walked back to the kitchen, and as she got away from the door, I stopped crying. She stopped, looked at me, and turned around to go out again, so I started to cry again. We stayed like that for a while.

So I do have a power that can keep me at home, which is crying. I thought that would be the end for me.

Nami's POV:

I wanted to go downstairs to play with Alex, but Bellmere was going to take him shopping with her, and I can't do anything about it. So I went to get some food from the fridge, but I heard crying. It stopped a moment later, but it kept repeating.

So I turned my head to see what was going on, only to see Bellmere keeps turning around as she gets near the door, Alex cries, she turns, walks a few steps, and he stops. So I understood he wanted to play with me, that's why he stops crying when he gets near me.

So I went to Bellmere and said to her to keep him in the house as he wants to play with me. She laughed, and after some time, she gave him to me, on the promise to keep an eye on him.

When she left, we played, and Nojiko came down and saw me playing with Alex. She got angry about how I didn't wake her up because I wanted Alex all to myself, but I told her that Alex wanted to play with me, not her.

MC's POV:

Man, these kids are annoying. They keep fighting about how I want to play with them, but I only want to stay at home and check what the system is going to give me.

System check-in:

[You stayed at home for 1 day; you got Jarvis script from Marvel.]

What's the point in that in a world without a computer to operate it to begin with, you useless system?

[If the world does not have a computer, then you can build one. I just give you your reward for the day. I don't care if you can use it or not.]

Even if I know how to build one, it can't handle Jarvis script, you idiot. As I was fighting with the system, I got hungry.

I don't care anymore. I want food, so I have to cry now.

Nojiko's POV:

As I was fighting with Nami, we heard Alex cry and stopped fighting and went to the kitchen and started doing what Bellmere was doing last time.

We got the milk powder and put it in a bottle, then put water inside and gave it a good shake, then we fed Alex.

Bellmere's POV:

I just finished shopping. Now let's go home and relax.

When I got home and opened the door, I went from happy for the time I was going to relax to angry at the mess I found in the kitchen. It was like a tornado took the milk powder and spread it everywhere.

"Who did this?" I shouted.
