Chapter 43 - Last Night

Aiden, Radomira and Tamamot walked out, as Aiden got on the carriages, as it started too drive back too the Nuteral zone, Kotarou came out of his shadow as Aiden nodded, as Kotarou left.

Radomira looked as she spoke. "Today really is gonna be some of does Noble last night".

Aiden chuckled as he spoke. "If I wanna fix this world, better to make sure that I clean the dirty spots first"

Tamamo looked at him as she spoke. "Aren't you worried they will find out".

Aiden looked as he spoke. "That why I told Kotarou too kill in different ways, some will be assassinate, other poison, 'Nuteral accident', 'unexpect fire' freak 'accident' and so on".

Radomira raised an eyebrow at Aiden's words, her lips curling into a small smile. "I'm starting to think you enjoy this...cleanup work."

Aiden leaned back in his seat, the carriage bumping lightly as it moved through the quiet roads back toward the Neutral Zone. "The world isn't just gonna fix itself," he said with a faint grin. "Sometimes you need a little… discreet intervention. Let's just say, it's a necessary evil."

Tamamo, leaning slightly forward, looked at him with a knowing expression. "You know, Aiden, if you keep this up, you might start sounding like one of those shadowy figures from the old legends. You sure you're comfortable with that?"

Aiden's grin widened, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Comfortable? Nah. But sometimes, comfort is overrated. As long as the world moves in the right direction, I'm fine with the role I have to play."

Radomira hummed thoughtfully, tapping her fingers against the window. "And you're sure this will work? The nobles, the corrupt, the ones who profit off of the suffering of others… they'll all be gone before the world notices?"

"Eventually," Aiden replied, his voice steady. "People like them think they're untouchable, but everyone has their weakness. Some are too greedy to see their downfall coming. Others just need a little push. We're not eradicating them completely; we're just… removing the problems before they grow too large."

Tamamo raised an eyebrow. "A little push, huh? Sounds like you've already thought this through quite a bit. You're not just playing the role of a hero, are you?"

Aiden shrugged, looking out the window as the scenery blurred by. "Heroes are complicated. I'm just doing what needs to be done, even if it gets messy. In the end, it's the result that matters."

Radomira snorted lightly. "Isn't that exactly how most villains start? Justifying their actions with good intentions."

Aiden chuckled darkly. "Sure, but the difference is, I'm not trying to take over the world. I'm just trying to make sure it doesn't burn itself down."

The carriage continued its journey through the night, the weight of their conversation lingering in the air. As the darkness enveloped them, Aiden's mind wandered, but his resolve stayed firm. There were battles yet to be fought, and if these nobles had to fall to ensure peace, so be it.

After a few moments of silence, Aiden finally spoke, his voice softening. "We're playing a dangerous game. But if we want the world to change, sometimes you have to make the hard choices. There's no turning back from this. The lines are drawn."

Radomira and Tamamo exchanged a brief glance. It was clear they understood the weight of his words.

Tamamo spoke up first, her voice gentle but firm. "Just make sure you don't lose yourself in the process. This kind of work can change a person."

Aiden turned his gaze to her, his expression unreadable. "I've already changed. But it's for the better."

Radomira chuckled, her tone teasing. "Well, just make sure we're not left cleaning up after your mess, Aiden."

Aiden smiled, a hint of seriousness returning to his features. "Don't worry. I'll handle the mess. You just handle what comes next."

As the carriage rumbled on into the night, the trio was silent once again, each lost in their thoughts about what lay ahead. The world was changing, but the paths they walked would lead them through shadow and light—no matter how much they tried to control it.

The next morning the Princess knight and all of the kingdom in Celestia Land were having whole how the hell this happened, a lot of noble house and set nobles had died yesterday, other then them being related too dying on the same night, there was really no connection too anyone of these.

Maia just spoke holding her head. "Ok hear me out, what if this is just me big coincidence".

Alicia looked at Maia with a unembarrassed face. "As expected from someone who was raised in the Streets".

Maia sought her look as she spoke. "What did you just say, care too repeat that".

Claudia then spoke. "Enough, you two can have you're argument in a later date".

Maia and Alicia shot each other one last glare before Maia sighed, rubbing her temples. "Fine, fine. But seriously, this whole thing is too much of a coincidence. How does this even happen? No sign of forced entry, no witnesses, nothing. It's like they just vanished overnight."

Alicia crossed her arms, still looking skeptical. "And you're suggesting that this is a coincidence? People don't just drop dead like this, Maia. Not unless there's something more at play."

Claudia, who had been standing silently, turned to face the two of them. "We'll get answers, but not through bickering. We need to figure out what happened, not make assumptions."

Maia threw her hands up in frustration. "I'm not making assumptions, I'm trying to make sense of this! Whoever did this is smart. No evidence, no clues—it's like they planned this perfectly."

Alicia, still frowning, eyed Maia for a moment before speaking. "So you think this was planned? You think someone specifically targeted these houses?"

Maia nodded. "Yes. Whoever did this is organized, methodical. We need to figure out why these particular houses were targeted, and how they got away with it."

Claudia sighed deeply, rubbing her forehead. "We'll have to bring in the investigators. No matter how much we argue about the details, the truth will come out eventually. But we also need to keep an eye on the bigger picture—this may just be the start."

Kaguya then spoke. "To be real we have zero clues about them, other then then all dying in the same night".

Prim finished for ehe checking the reports. "Each of them were found dead in different ways, and non connect too Eachother".

Kaguya frowned, rubbing her temples in frustration. "That just makes it even more suspicious. If there's no connection, how can we even begin to figure out who's behind this? It's like whoever did this is deliberately trying to throw us off."

Prim scanned the reports again, her expression serious. "The variety of methods used is almost too precise—assassinations, accidents, poisonings... It's like they had a blueprint for chaos. But the question remains: why these particular nobles?"

Alicia, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "And what about the timing? All of them died on the same night. Whoever orchestrated this had a plan—and it wasn't just about killing them, it was about making a statement."

Claudia nodded, her gaze calculating. "Exactly. This wasn't a random attack. It feels coordinated. Someone's sending a message, but to whom? And why? The nobles who died... they weren't just any nobility. They had influence, but they weren't the most powerful families. So, who stands to gain from their deaths?"

Alicia's eyes narrowed. "Could it be someone trying to weaken Celestine's position? Targeting nobles in such a way might be a warning to her... or anyone with significant power."

Kaguya's voice was quiet but filled with suspicion. "Or maybe it's someone who wants to disrupt the current order—throw the kingdom into chaos, make the people distrust the system. There's too many possible angles."

Prim flipped through the papers, her eyes scanning the reports once more. "One thing's for sure. These deaths weren't accidental. The variety of methods used suggests someone with the skill and resources to pull this off without leaving a trace."

Maia, still visibly frustrated, spoke again. "So what do we do now? We're spinning in circles without any leads."

Claudia gave a stern look. "We keep investigating. No stone left unturned. We'll follow the trail, no matter how faint. But we also need to prepare for the possibility that this is only the beginning."

Alicia leaned forward, her voice cold. "We need to find out who's behind this, and why they're targeting these specific nobles. Whoever it is, they've made their move—and we need to be ready for the next one."

The group fell into silence, each person lost in their own thoughts, weighing the consequences of the attack and the mystery that still loomed. The kingdom was in turmoil, and they all knew that whatever came next, they would have to face it together.

Meanwhile in the Nuterale Zone, as Radomira feed Aiden some food as he works on his paperwork. "So no one will suspect it is you?".

Aiden looked as eh spoke. "What reason do they have? They have zero idea I am someone guy reborn here using my meds knowledge too take down the bad guys, but Instead just a slime who is running through Nuteral zone".

Radomira smirked as she placed another bite of food near Aiden's lips. "True, but you're not just any slime. You're the Slime King—the one who built a peaceful monster village right under their noses. Sooner or later, someone's going to start connecting dots."

Aiden took the bite, chewing thoughtfully as he scribbled something on a document. "Maybe, but that's why I made sure to cover every track. To them, it's nothing but a series of unfortunate accidents and well-planned assassinations with no clear pattern. No one suspects the neutral zone, let alone me."

Tamamo, lounging nearby, chuckled. "You're enjoying this a little too much."

Aiden smirked. "Can you blame me? The corrupt nobles who exploited people and made life miserable are gone, and no one can pin it on me. The world is already a better place."

Radomira leaned in, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "You say that, but what if someone does figure it out? Even Celestine has future sight—what if she sees something?"

Aiden's expression darkened for a moment before he let out a sigh. "Then I deal with it when the time comes. Right now, all that matters is keeping things running smoothly. The neutral zone is thriving, my people are safe, and the kingdom is too busy chasing shadows to look in my direction."

Tamamo stretched, yawning slightly. "Well, let's hope your luck holds out. But knowing you, I doubt this is the last time you'll be cleaning up the 'dirty spots' of this world."

Aiden chuckled. "Of course not. After all, there's still so much filth left to clean."

Tamamo then looked as she spoke. "These paper work's, is this what I think it is".

Aiden looked at her as he spoke. "Yeah, making sure the piece thready between Olga and Celestine is fully completed, so far Olga has agreed too all the team, decrease her lands, give money too repair all the damage she has done too Celestine lands over this war, and have me kill all the monster in the Dark lands".

Radomira then spoke Looking at him. "Doesn't that mens out side of her Dark Elf's, she has no military.... Oh she has no military which means".

Aiden smirk looking at him. "Which means she ha relie on the Nuteral Are for support, my monster, which are more like human with actual mortality, which means".

Tamamo ended for him. "Over time you will fully take over the dark lands with out her even knowing".

Radomira chuckled, shaking her head. "You're ruthless, you know that?"

Aiden leaned back in his chair, stretching. "It's not about being ruthless—it's about being smart. The moment Olga signed this agreement, she gave up her ability to fight back. By the time she realizes how dependent she is on me, it'll be too late."

Tamamo grinned. "And when that happens, you'll have control over both the Neutral Zone and the Dark Lands. That's half the continent under your influence."

Aiden nodded. "Exactly. No wars, no bloodshed—just slow, methodical integration. The best way to win isn't through force, but by making your enemies need you."

Radomira smirked. "And what about Celestine? Won't she catch on?"

Aiden chuckled. "She will, eventually. But by then, she won't have a reason to oppose me. If anything, she'll see it as a good thing. A unified continent, no more war, no more monsters rampaging. As long as I play my cards right, she'll welcome it."

Tamamo leaned closer. "And if she doesn't?"

Aiden's eyes glowed faintly. "Then I'll just have to make sure she does."

Radomira looked a she looked as she licked her lips. "And after your plans with Olga is done, after you got he dark lands what will you do to her"

Aiden spoke Looking at her. "That is the neet part, officially make her lover".

Tamaor blineked as she bursted out of Laughing. "Oh my Truth, you are planing too seduces the dark queen"

Aiden looked at Tamamo as he spoke. "I already accidentally Seduced you".

Tamamot spoke still laughing. True but I am high spirit you gave a name too, she is a goddess reborn".

Aiden spoke Looking at her. "A goddess reborn is basically saying someone who is god's vassel but is the lowest in the power rankings".

Radomira looked as she spoke. "Done forget, unlike her I am a real goddess".

He looked as he spoke. "Yeah the god of succubus".

Tamamo smirked. "So let me get this straight—you're going to take over the Dark Lands, make Olga completely dependent on you, and then seduce her into becoming your lover?"

Aiden nodded. "That's the plan."

Radomira chuckled, running a finger down his arm. "You really don't do things halfway, do you?"

Aiden shrugged. "If I'm going to change this world, I might as well enjoy the process."

Tamamo, still grinning, leaned against him. "You're playing a dangerous game, you know? Olga isn't just some noblewoman—she's a warrior queen. If she realizes what you're doing…"

Aiden smirked. "That's the fun part. If she realizes it, that means I've already won. Either she fights it and loses, or she accepts it and joins me willingly."

Radomira licked her lips again. "And if she resists?"

Aiden's eyes gleamed. "Then I'll just have to convince her."

Tamamo looked as she leaned close too he loved. "Bur really Aiden, how many more women are you going too add to your grown Harem".

Aiden looked at her. As he spoke. "Celestine, Maia, Prim, Kaguya and Luu Luu, Alicia I will keep as an Alie and Claudia is already married, if I want shadow control over the other half of this nation, I atleast neat that, also don't worry I actually plan for them too fall for me and me back with them".

Radomira smirked, resting her chin on Aiden's shoulder. "You really are ambitious, aren't you? Not just power, but love as well. You're not just playing politics—you're making sure you win in every way possible."

Aiden chuckled. "If I'm going to change this world, I might as well do it properly. Having genuine relationships with them ensures loyalty, not just convenience. I don't want mindless followers—I want people who choose to stand with me."

Tamamo tilted her head. "And what if one of them resists? Not everyone falls in love so easily, Aiden."

Aiden smirked. "Then I'll do what I do best—adapt. Whether it's war, politics, or love, everything has a solution. I'm patient. And besides…" He leaned back against the couch. "People fear what they don't understand. Once they do understand, that fear turns into something else."

Radomira licked her lips. "And that something else… could be love?"

Aiden gave her a knowing look. "Or admiration. Or respect. Either way, it leads to the same result."
