Chapter 3 - 3;JOURNEY BEGINS

The days leading up to Kaito's departure felt like a whirlwind. The excitement and anxiety swirled within him, clashing like storm clouds on the horizon. Preparations were underway, and soon the walls of the Gojo estate would be nothing more than a memory.

Kaito stood in his room, staring at the packed bag resting on his bed. It contained only the essentials—his training gear, a few personal items, and a well-worn photograph of his family. He had made sure to include a few of his favorite books on curse techniques, hoping they would help him in the challenges to come.

"Are you ready?" Koji's voice interrupted his thoughts. Kaito turned to see his uncle leaning against the doorway, arms crossed and a teasing smile on his face. "You look like you're about to face a curse, not head off to school."

Kaito chuckled nervously. "It kind of feels like both, doesn't it? I mean, I'm leaving everything I know behind."

"True, but it's also the start of something new. You're stepping into a world full of possibilities," Koji said, walking into the room. He glanced around, his eyes landing on the photograph. "And you'll be making your own path now, away from Satoru's shadow."

"Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself." Kaito sighed, running a hand through his hair. "But what if I mess up? What if I'm not strong enough?"

"Then you'll learn. That's the beauty of it," Koji replied, his tone serious now. "You're going to face challenges that will test you. There will be times when you feel overwhelmed, and you might even fail. But don't let that discourage you. Each setback is a chance to grow."

"Thanks, Uncle," Kaito said, feeling a surge of gratitude. Koji always had a way of reassuring him, a quality that made him feel supported even in the toughest times.

As the sun began to rise on the day of his departure, Kaito felt a knot in his stomach. The estate was alive with activity, but he could hardly focus on anything but the impending journey. He made his way to the courtyard, where the elders had gathered to see him off.

"Remember, Kaito," Toshiro said as he approached, "you are carrying the weight of our clan. Make us proud."

"I will," Kaito replied, determination etched on his face. He knew this was more than just a journey to a school; it was a journey to prove himself and uphold the legacy of the Gojo name.

The elders, dressed in their ceremonial robes, formed a semicircle around him. Kaito's heart raced as he felt their scrutinizing gazes. Some looked skeptical, others appeared indifferent, but a few held expressions of hope. Koji stood off to the side, watching with a supportive smile.

As he prepared to leave, Kaito noticed his mother, Aiko, stepping forward. She looked a bit weary but wore a warm smile that brought him comfort. "Kaito, I want you to know that we believe in you. You have the strength of the Gojo clan within you. Just remember to be yourself."

"Thanks, Mom," Kaito said, his voice softening. He stepped forward and embraced her tightly. The warmth of her hug washed over him, and for a moment, he felt at peace.

"Go out there and make new friends," she added, pulling back to look him in the eye. "Don't be afraid to open your heart. You never know who you might meet."

Kaito nodded, his mind drifting to thoughts of the new experiences awaiting him. Would he really find friends? Would he fit in at Jujutsu Tech? The unknown filled him with both dread and excitement.

As he stepped away from his family and the Gojo estate, Kaito took one last look at the place he had called home. The courtyard, the gardens, the training grounds—all of it was etched into his memory. With a deep breath, he turned and made his way toward the gate, where a carriage awaited him.

The carriage was sleek and elegantly designed, an intricate representation of the Gojo clan's status. Kaito climbed inside, and as the vehicle began to move, he felt the landscape of his hometown fade away. The familiar sights and sounds of the Gojo estate were soon replaced by the vast world outside, stretching endlessly before him.

As the carriage rolled along the winding roads, Kaito gazed out the window, watching the scenery shift from dense forests to open fields. The beauty of the landscape was breathtaking, yet Kaito's mind was preoccupied with thoughts of what lay ahead. He imagined the bustling halls of Jujutsu Tech, filled with students eager to hone their skills and face curses.

What would he be like when he arrived? Would he measure up to their expectations? Would he find a sense of belonging?

The journey to Jujutsu Tech was intercontinental, with the carriage navigating through various terrains. Kaito spent most of the ride in silence, lost in his thoughts, occasionally conversing with the driver about the regions they passed. The driver spoke of the beauty of the countryside and the dangers that lurked in the shadows—curses that roamed free, waiting for the chance to strike.

"You'll be in good hands at Jujutsu Tech," the driver assured him. "It's a place where you'll learn not just to fight, but to protect others from curses. They have the best instructors in the country."

"Do you think I'll be able to handle it?" Kaito asked, his voice tinged with doubt.

"Handling it is the least of your worries," the driver chuckled. "You'll be pushed to your limits, but that's how you'll grow. Just remember to keep your head up and don't let fear control you."

Kaito nodded, the driver's words echoing in his mind. He knew fear was a constant companion, but he was determined not to let it dictate his actions. This journey was not just about proving himself; it was about discovering who he was meant to be.

As the sun began to set, casting golden hues across the sky, Kaito's heart raced in anticipation. He could see the towering structures of Jujutsu Tech in the distance, looming like a fortress against the horizon. The academy stood tall, a testament to centuries of sorcery and training.

His excitement peaked as the carriage drew closer. He could see groups of students gathering outside the gates, their laughter and chatter rising above the rustle of the wind. Kaito felt a surge of adrenaline as they approached, his apprehension shifting into eagerness.

The carriage finally came to a halt in front of the grand entrance. Kaito stepped out, the cool evening air enveloping him. The sight of Jujutsu Tech before him was awe-inspiring. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead.

As he stepped through the gates, he was greeted by the vibrant atmosphere of the academy. Students in various uniforms were milling about, some practicing techniques while others engaged in spirited discussions. It was a world filled with energy and ambition, a stark contrast to the sheltered life he had led in the Gojo estate.

"Welcome to Jujutsu Tech!" a voice called out, breaking through Kaito's reverie. He turned to see a boy about his age with spiky hair and a bright smile. "I'm Akira! You must be the new transfer student."

"Yeah, I'm Kaito," he replied, feeling a flicker of warmth at the friendly introduction.

"Nice to meet you! Come on, I'll show you around!" Akira said enthusiastically, leading Kaito through the throngs of students.

As they walked, Kaito felt a sense of excitement building within him. This was it—his new life was beginning, and he was ready to embrace every moment of it.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Kaito stood at the entrance of Jujutsu Tech, gazing at the academy that would become his new home. A sense of determination coursed through him. He was no longer just Kaito Gojo, the boy from the clan; he was now a student of Jujutsu Tech, and he was ready to carve his own path.
