Chapter 1 - Really, did I accept?

— Hey Thomaz, give me back my cell phone – Reinhard said, already stressed.

— What if I don't want it? – Thomaz replied with a slight smile on his face.

Before this joke turned into a real fight, William tried to calm the situation.

— Stop it, you two, and Thomaz give his cell phone back now – Willian said and, luckily or by his own skill, the fight didn't even start.

— Now let's go or we'll be late – said Willian as he hurried to get to school quickly.

At school

— You won't believe it! – said Thomaz.

— What happened? – Reinhard asks.

— I forgot my wallet at home, and I don't have any money. Reinhard can help me out. – Thomaz explains.

— Ok, how much do you need? – Reinhard asks as he sits at his desk.

— Oh, maybe 500 minzes! – Thomaz says as if it weren't enough.

— Okay, but is that all? – Reinhard asks with a suspicious tone.

Thomaz, already realizing that Reinhard won't lend him a single note, answers. — Yes, that's all, hehe.

Later.

At home.

— Dad, I'm home. – Reinhard sees his father sitting on the couch and tells him he's home.

— Reinhard, first of all, come to Tarsila's restaurant tomorrow at 4:00 pm. – Reinhard's father says and the boy gets confused.

— But dad, for... – He is interrupted by his father.

— Don't ask questions, tomorrow you'll know. – His father says, and he nods that he understands.

— Then I'm going to my room. – Reinhard says, and his father doesn't even pay much attention.

In the room

— What the hell! Why? Why? Why do I keep doing this? It's not like I need them to live. – Reinhard says with tears in his eyes.

KNOCK KNOCK, KNOCK KNOCK

Someone was knocking on Reinhard's bedroom door.

— Young sir. – A voice says on the other side of the door.

— What is it, Patrick? – Reinhard asks the man outside the room.

— Dinner is served, so do you want to have dinner in your room or in the dining room? – Patrick asks.

— Here. – Reinhard answers dryly.

— Okay, I'll bring your food here. – Patrick says, leaving the place and going straight to the kitchen.

Reinhard grabs his cell phone and goes to look at some posts on the internet, while Patrick waits for his food.

Five minutes later

— Wow, what a beautiful woman. – Reinhard says, seeing a picture of a woman on the photogram.

— Who's pretty, sir? – Patrick asks, and in his hands is Reinhard's food.

— A woman I just saw here. – He says, showing his cell phone to Patrick.

— She really is beautiful, sir. – Patrick says.

— Thank you for bringing the food here, Patrick. – Reinhard thanks.

— I'm going, sir, see you later. – Patrick says, leaving the room.

Reinhard sits at a small table and chair that was in his room.

After finishing dinner, he went to the bathroom to take a hot shower.

Reinhard lies down on his bed, grabs his cell phone and plays with it until he falls asleep.

Next day

Messages, William

— Reinhard, let's go.

— Where to?

— Damn school.

— I'm not going today.

— Ok.

In the afternoon

— Come on, son, let's go to the restaurant. – Reinhard's father calls him.

— Just wait a minute. – Reinhard says.

After a while, Reinhard and his father go to the car that would take them to the restaurant.

At the restaurant

— Son, it's that table over there. – Reinhard's father points to the empty seat.

The two go to the aforementioned table and sit down. After about 6 minutes, two women and a man arrive.

One of the women looked to be forty-five years old, and the other looked to be nineteen, while the man looked to be fifty years old. The two women and the man sit in the empty chairs at the table, where Reinhard and his father were.

— Dad, who are they? – Reinhard whispers to his father.

— I'll tell you soon. – Reinhard's father says with a slight smile on his face.

— So, good evening, Mr. Wattson, Miss Wattson, and Lilyth. – Reinhard's father greets everyone at the table, and they do the same.

— Good evening, Mr. Mikhaillor. – The man on the other side of the table greets Mikhaillor with a smile on his face, and the women do the same.

Reinhard, unable to stand the situation any longer, explodes in irritation.

— CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON, PLEASE? – He shouts in the middle of the establishment, without caring about anything or anyone.

— Okay, I'll tell you what's going on. – Mikhaillor says.

— That's good, at least that. – Reinhard says.

— So, basically, Mr. Wattson is the best lawyer in the country. – Mikhaillor says.

— Okay, and you want to hire him, right? – Reinhard asks.

— Yes, that's it, but there's more, which is, he didn't want to become my lawyer until we made a deal. – Mikhaillor says.

— And what's that deal? – Reinhard asks.

The deal is, my son, in this case you and his daughter, in this case Lilyth, would have to get married. – Mikhaillor says.

— So you mean I'll have to marry her? – He says pointing to Lilyth.

— Yes, that's it, but I don't think you'll... – The man can't finish what he was saying.

— I accept. – Reinhard says without thinking twice.

— What? So easy? – Mikhaillor is in disbelief.

— Yes, that's right, because I have no reason to reject her. - Reinhard says with his hand on his chest and a smile on his face.

— Why don't you have any reason to reject her? – Mikhaillor asks.

— First, she's very pretty, second, I have no friends and lastly my life will become more interesting.

Everyone at the table bursts out laughing at what Reinhard said, even though he didn't say anything funny.

Chapter 1: End

— Is this your son? – Mr. Wattson asks.

— Yes, this is Reinhard. – Mikhaillor introduces Reinhard.

— Dad, tell me what's going on, or I'm going home. – Reinhard says.

— Is this him, Dad? – The girl named Lilyth asks Mr. Wattson, who apparently is her father.

— Yes, it's him. – Mr. Wattson says.

— Then I hope we get along. – She says with a tone of joy.
