"We can pass him off as your brother," Wei Caihong said.
Nikola shook his head.
"He looks nothing like me, it will never work," the former emperor countered.
They had been trying to decide what to do with Azazel for over an hour, while Nikola cleaned the portal's ritual circle. He was careful to not leave even a trace of magic behind so that there wouldn't be another plague spreading.
Azazel looked at his student, then at his champion, and grumbled. They had both ordered him to be quiet at the same time. So, he sat down and waited for them to decide his fate.
"Cousin, then? If we don't pass him for your relative, we won't be able to explain why he is living with us," Wei Caihong suggested. The "us" rolling on his tongue like honey.
"Us? There is no us, snake," Nikola hissed back.
Azazel chuckled.
