As the light faded from my transformation, I felt a surge of power coursing through me, invigorating my every cell. I was no longer Victor Sullivan, the betrayed warrior; I was now Victor Sullivan, the Ghost Master.
After the profession change as I looked around the temple, my eyes falling on the statue of the god. A crazy thought crossed my mind was it possible to steal divine power?.
My heart raced as I approached the statue, driven by a primal urge urging me forward. I whispered the word, "Copy." For a moment, nothing happened. Then, a surge of power gripped me, and the notification appeared: "Congratulations, EX talent EYE OF GOD has been successfully copied."
I froze, momentarily stunned. Had I just stolen a god's power? A slow grin spread across my face. This was beyond my wildest expectations. Without another word, I turned and left the prayer room.
Stepping out of the temple, I took a moment to absorb my surroundings. The villagers went about their day, oblivious to the monumental shift taking place within me.
I found an empty space near the fountain and checked my status panel.

Seeing this I quickly opened the description.
EX EYE OF GOD: A divine sight that pierces through all illusions, allowing the user to discern hidden details such as traps, hidden missions, illusions, and even the secrets of others.
I spotted a group of players gathered around the fountain, discussing strategies and sharing their initial experiences in the game.
To try the skill I activated it and looked at the players and was surprised to see the information unfolded before my eyes like an unseen tapestry, revealing everything they were hiding.
This shouldn't be possible. Status screens were personal, sacred. Yet here I was, reading every detail—HP, stamina, talents. Everything.
They were completely oblivious to the fact that I could see everything about them their health, their talents, and every weakness they had. EX Eye of God wasn't just a tool; it was a weapon.
Their talents were average LV: D talent like Physical Enhancement was the highest, LV:F Basic Fire Manipulation, or LV: EIncreased Agility. Nothing that could challenge what I possessed now.
Ignoring them, I went towards village chief's cottage only to see a small crowd gathered there. I activated eye of god on the village chief, expecting only basic information. Instead, a quest panel shimmered into existence before me, lines of glowing text filling the air with hidden options and alternate paths.
QUESTS
Kill slimes damaging the village farms.
Clear condition: Kill 10/10 slimes (Incomplete) Hidden condition: Kill 10/10 ...expand for more details. Intrigued, I focused on it, and a new path opened up before me.
QUESTS
Kill slimes damaging the village farms.
Clear condition: Kill 10/10 slimes.(Incomplete) Hidden condition: Kill 10/10 slimes before accepting quest and provide their cores as proof when accepting quest.
If completed differently, this quest could yield greater xp rewards and favorablity points,' it said. My heart raced. I was no longer just another player; I held the key to something greater.
Interesting! I smirked and turned away from the crowd after remembering some of the quests. Armed with this knowledge, I left the village, ready to tackle my first quest slaying 10 slimes.I went outside the village there was only a common staff in my hands provided to every newbie after profession change.
I came to the field with slime spawn point and saw some players scattered throughout the field killing slimes diligently. Out of curiosity I activated eye of god and found that after killing a slime I can tame it's ghost spirit.
I excitedly went forward and smashed a slime with my staff. It took more than 6 time smashing to kill the slime. After killing it I got some xp and 1 copper coin as reward. But with my skill already active I saw a slime in a soul body which is generally impossible.
This soul body was weak and unstable as normal slimes are generally weak and have short lifespans. So before it scatters away I used tame on it and after success saw the status of my first ghost summon.

It perfectly gained my four basic attributes the only difference was it was an Grade: F contract ghost, the lowest level and couldn't be evolved further.
Think for a bit I used skill synthesis on the slime ghost and 2 options combine & decompose which I understood immediately. Then choosing combine a new window opened with the slime ghost in it and an empty box beside which looked like a storage space.
I simply picked the harmful slime nearby and inserted it in the empty space and a new empty space popped up beside it and combine button below. Which I choose to click without thinking much.
The slime spirit again appeared before me and was shining slightly, as the light faded away as a new panel appeared before me.

Nothing much changed but the quality went up from grade: F to E. I tried to combine more slime again seeing this result but it failed with a warning notification saying the combined material must not be repeated, should make sense or the player must have some after evolution form in mind with right materials.
After seeing the warning I felt good to know, I had some limitations. Feeling that I'm still vulnerable.
I again started smashing slimes diligently and while doing so I leveled up once gaining +1 on every stat and 1 free stat to add wherever I want. After collecting 10 slime cores I turned back to the village.
Getting into the village I first went to the NPC potion shop as I knew from my past life that there was a rare xp double potion available here and damn I was right it vaporized all my funds earned.
I went back to slime spawn point contracted another grade: F slime spirit. I again used synthesis on it and this time I used the xp double potion in the third synthesis space following a slime and clicked synthesize.
The result was as I imagined, the slime evolved into a new race xp buff slime. I tried this because of what I knew about slimes, they are creatures that adapt to almost everything according to their environment to survive. It's rare but there were successful evolution cases in my past life.
This time it's just with the 100% guarantee of evolution given because of synthesis.

This slime spirit actually had a talent, it was on the lowest side but gave me inspiration to have have more buff slime spirits of every kind xp boost, hp recovery, spirit recovery,
critical hit boost, drop rate boost, etc. There are too many possibilities.
Thinking of this I couldn't suppress my smirk for a while. I was happy because drinking xp double potion would grant me an hour of xp boost buff while the slime spirit could give the same buff unconditionally.
