The next day, at a random restaurant.
"Here is the first option!" Annie showed a non-attractive man to Abby, while Abby was already disgusted by his behaviour towards her.
He offered her his food with a bare hand and grabbed the spoon with the same hand without even wiping the mess.
"I reject!" Abby opposed it assertively.
"Here is the second option!" Annie showed up with another man who looked like he hadn't eaten for a week.
Observing a vexed expression from her, Annie kicked him outside.
"Here is the last option I have." This time he appeared like he could meet Abby's expectations. However, Abby deselected him also.
"What are you thinking in your mind? This is just a contract marriage, not a real one! Why do you expect the groom to be beautiful? Accept the reality." Annie shouted in exasperation.
But Abby leaned her head on the table, realising a gigantic, desperate sigh.
"Then you have no choice but to live with that ugly man." Annie also adjoined with her. "No one will come for just 10,000 dollars." Annie disappointedly dictated and got seated.
"May I apply for it?"
A silvery-toned voice asked. Somewhat, Abby found that voice was familiar right away. So she gave an instant glance, only to find Steven.
"What's your name, sir?" Annie reacted quickly as soon as she figured out his incomparably handsome.
"Steven," he replied with his deep, manly voice.
"Wow! He will surely meet your expectations, Abby." Annie declared and excitedly showed his seat, permitting him, "You can sit here, sir."
"He will, but I hate this man's personality. I can't!" Abby thought to herself and shouted, "No!"
Steven paused from his butt touching the seat, and he stood up.
"What now? Look! This man looks so handsome. This is just a contract. Don't be realistic!" Annie scolded her. Shifting her gaze to Steven, she smiled, "Take your seat, sir."
"Are you following me?" Abby queried and snatched the drinks from Annie's hand, which was offering them to him.
"Sorry," she apologised on behalf of her.
"Mmm... You can put it like that too." He answered directly.
"Do you see? He is a ruthless one, Annie!" Abby trickily revealed his personality.
However, Annie convinced her, "This is just a one-year contract. Don't be serious."
Releasing a disgruntled sigh, she nodded. "Okay."
Steven turned to Annie and declared, "I have a demand,"
"This won't work out!" Abby stood up, appearing to leave the spot.
Annie pulled her and forced her to sit back.
"What is it?" With a smile, Annie asked.
Steven threw his demanding gaze at Abby, who frowned at him. He then took off his ring and placed it in front of Abby, saying, "You should wear this."
"Is it an engagement ring?" Annie interrogated. Glimpsing the dragon symbol on it, she doubted, "This doesn't seem like that."
"This isn't my style," Abby refused his offer effortlessly.
"I will make you wear whether this contract went well or not." Steven's voice had held a tinge of threat.
Abby scowled.
Leaving the ring on the table, he sat straight, held his head high, and declared, "I'm offering you a great deal. You can't find a handsome man like me anywhere."
"Do you have any money?" Abby queried as if she wanted to dumb him badly. "Just because having a car doesn't mean you're rich." She roasted him, unaware of the truth.
A little scoff escaped his lips watching her talk informally all the while now, and also, he was irritated witnessing her scornful dictation disclose that she was looking down on him openly.
Annie went silent, spotting fire sparkling from both of their eyes. "Such a same wavelength. I think they will end up falling in love." She thought to herself.
A fiercing stare came sharply at her from both Steven and Abby.
She looked away, giving an embarrassed smile, "Sorry, my tongue slipped."
"Are you looking down on me?" Steven demented.
"Of course! You don't look rich." She sarcastically offended him.
"You probably heard about KYEO product company since your major study is related to this business, aren't you?" Steven switched to serious mode.
Abby's stiffness appeared to fade a little.
"Yes, it's our dream to get selected into that company," Annie explained with expecting eyes.
"I'm the chairman, CEO, and everything of that company. Not only that, I own plenty of apartments in this city. There is more to say. I put it simply for you to understand." He exposed his wealth, looking so determined. Looking into Abby's regretting eyes, he disclosed, "I'm a billionaire."
Abby couldn't express her anger, realising he was the owner of the company that she'd been dreaming of being here at least once in her lifetime. At the same time, she wasn't easygoing to bargain with him. So she preferred to be quiet for a second.
Leaning proudly back on the seat, Steven offered, "You can hit Jackbot if you agree with my demand. Your dream job will be in your hand the next second you wear this. You don't need to work hard for your dream."
"Get lost!" Abby resonated standing up. Giving a hatred glare directly at him, she said firmly, "I have talent. I won't choose an easy bath. Never!" She then left the chat as Annie was frozen by Steven's wealth report.
"Aish!" Steven was pissed off. "She is adamant like a child. I wonder who is going to suffer by marrying her." He regretted everything he just spilt to her.
He then looked at Annie, who hadn't awakened from the shock yet. He shook her by the arms. She blinked and baffled, "What happened? Where is Abby?"
"She left," he informed her, looking at the ring. There was a leaden disappointment whirled in his voice.
Annie rushed immediately. She grabbed Abby and stopped her. "Are you an idiot? This is the opportunity for our hard work, Abby. Where can you find a man like him? Just accept it." Annie tried to convince her.
Abby strictly said, "I will never choose him. He is ruthless and selfish. I will find the groom by myself."
Observing Abby's adamance, Annie concluded that she couldn't do anything to stop her anymore. So she released her hand.
Abby walked off.
