As Niro was helping Lucy explore the vast, organized library, he started to notice something off about her. The way she behaved while walking wasn't how a child would. Was Lucy Wellington an old person?
"Hey, kid. I need to ask you something." Niro's suspicions got the best of him. It's final, and he needed to confirm something.
"Yes, sir..?"
"Are you really a child? I mean.. Don't call me weird, but I'm just asking."

The silence immediately gave away the answer. Niro knew a lot about the identity skill, and he knew that Lucy was using it.
"Kanae Kyoko. You forgot to turn on voice changer before you agreed to use the identity skill."
Kanae was mortified. As soon as Niro revealed her identity, the identity skill disappeared, revealed her true form.
"Fine, you got me."

Kanae almost slapped Niro out of offense. She didn't like being called dumb if it's not Chihiro Sangata calling her that.

Niro's expression didn't change one bit. He knew Kanae was wrong, and there was a chance that he'd be smarter than her.
"Hmm.. Can a dumb person recite all 7 Major Laws and their holders?"
"You expect me to memorize all of those unimportant things? I wouldn't be dumb to do so." Kanae fought back.
"Let me start by explaining what Laws are. They are clauses found in a special book that can give the holder's disciple one or two special abilities, but there are limitations, as every existing abilities can be used in any way they want."
"I didn't ask anything about the Laws!-" Kanae got cut off.

Holder, Shin Uehara… Major Law #5, Law of Purity. Holder, Kanae Kyoko. Major Law #6, Law of Vigilance. Holder, Ryuu Kagami. Major Law #7, Law of Mercy. Holder, Emi Takane. It's impressive how you're the holder of two Laws, Miss Kyoko."
When Niro mentioned the fifth major Law, Kanae noticed that his cheeks blushed a bright red. Was he in love with the holder of the fifth major Law?
