Chapter 1 - Friendship/game?

"As I entered the coffee shop, I never expected to run into my old friend after all these years. My best friend, Mukta! But what was she doing here? Had she come from Italy just to see me?"

I felt thrilled seeing her, but I couldn't understand why she was here. I walked in, and she didn't notice me yet. I thought she was acting as usual.

I touched her shoulder, and she was startled. "OMG, Lavi! You're here!" she exclaimed, embracing me tightly.

I smiled genuinely and said, "You're here! I'm so happy to see you after all these years, Mukku."

Lavishka asked, "What brings you here suddenly? You could've at least called before coming."

Mukta replied, " Yeah I didn't called you because I thought I give you surprise but see you give surprise instead of me, You know I finished school, and now I'm here to study with you at the same college!"

I couldn't believe it. "Really, Mukku? We'll be graduating from the same college? I'm overjoyed!"

Lavishka said, "You're my first and last friend. I've never made friends other than you. Thanks for coming; I feel lonely without you."

Mukta giggled and said, "Forget everything. Let's enjoy our time together – OUR time.

---

Mukta smiled warmly. "Lavi, I'm so glad we're reunited. You're still my closest friend."

Lavishka's face lit up. "Same here, Mukku! I've missed you so much."

Their friendship was pure and true, built on trust, laughter, and shared memories.

As they hugged, Lavishka realized that having Mukta back in her life was a dream come true.

"Let's make new memories together," Mukta said, her eyes sparkling.

"Absolutely!" Lavishka agreed. "Starting tomorrow, we'll explore this city together."

...

The sun began to set, and the cool breeze caressed our faces. We didn't even realize how one week had passed while living together. I looked at Mukta, sitting right next to me, and said, "Mukku, I don't know why I'm feeling so nervous."

Mukta, sensing my concern, replied, "Lavi, don't worry, nothing will happen. We're just starting college, and it's normal to feel nervous on the first day. I felt the same when I first started school."

"Everyone feels nervous on their first day; it's no big deal," Mukta continued. "Now come on, let's not stress and get some sleep. We have an early start tomorrow for college."

After listening to Mukta's reassuring words, I started feeling sleepy. I looked at Mukta with sleepy eyes and teased, "I've gotten so used to your long lectures that now I even feel sleepy after listening to them!"

Mukta's expression turned serious, and she said, "Enjoy your jokes while you can, kiddo. My turn will come soon!"

As we laughed, Mukta and I headed to our room.

Next morning....

The next morning, Mukta and I were ready for college. We hailed a rickshaw and headed to our destination.

Upon arriving, we gazed at the imposing college building and couldn't help but smile.

We entered and began searching for our classroom, but it seemed nowhere to be found. A boy approached us, and I asked, "Excuse me, can you help us find our classroom? We're new here."

The boy looked at us and replied, "Welcome to our college! I'm Ridansh Oberoi. What subjects are you taking?" His eyes sparkled with curiosity.

"I'm Lavishka Rathore, and this is my best friend Mukta Mehra. We're commerce students," I replied.

Ridansh's face lit up. "Wow, I'm also a commerce student! Nice to meet you, Lavishka and Mukta."

Mukta asked, "Will you be our friend?"

Ridansh smiled. "Of course, I'd love to!"

Ridansh led them to their class. The professor noticed Ridansh and asked, "Who are they?"

Ridansh glanced at Mukta and Lavishka before responding, "They're new admissions, Mukta Mehra and Lavishka Rathore."

Lavishka stepped forward and introduced herself, "Good morning, sir. I'm Lavishka Rathore, and this is my friend Mukta Mehra. We're new to this college."

The professor smiled warmly. "Welcome to our college!"

Lavishka and Mukta took their seats and focused on the class. All the commerce students were staring at them, or rather, at Lavishka, who was stunningly beautiful. Her facial features were incredibly attractive.

After attending classes for a long time, Mukta and Lavishka were exhausted and hungry. Mukta suggested, "Let's go to the canteen, Lavi; I'm starving."

As they walked, Lavishka stopped and said, "Mukku, wait! Let's bring Ridansh along too. He helped us find our classroom, after all. We can treat him as a thank you."

Mukta agreed and began searching for Ridansh. "Where did he go?" she wondered.

Just then, Lavishka spotted Ridansh approaching them. "What's up? Do you need something?" Ridansh asked, his face showing curiosity.

"We were looking for you," Lavishka replied. "You helped us find our classroom, so we thought we'd treat you. Want to join us and show us where the canteen is?"

Ridansh smiled. "First off, thanks for the offer! and tell me....What are your nicknames?"

Mukta grinned. "Mine's Mukku, and hers is Lavi."

"Awesome! Mine's Ansh," Ridansh said. "From now on, call me that. We're friends now, okay'.

"From now on, call me Ansh, okay?" Ridansh said, leading them to the canteen. Mukta and Lavishka followed.

Upon entering, Ridansh asked, "What would you like to order?"

"Samosas, pastries, and whatever you want," Lavishka replied.

Ridansh smiled at Mukta and Lavishka. "I'll have samosas too; they're my favorite."

Lavishka and Mukta burst into laughter at his enthusiasm.

They enjoyed their lunch and left the canteen.

As they walked out, Ridansh teased, "Now, who's up for a friendly challenge? Loser buys coffee!"

Mukta's eyes sparkled. "Game on!"

Lavishka grinned mischievously. "Bring it on, Ansh!"

As they walked out of the canteen, Ridansh's challenge hung in the air. Mukta and Lavishka exchanged a mischievous glance.

"What's the challenge?" Mukta asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Let's see who can solve a math problem faster," Ridansh suggested, pulling out his phone. "I'll send you both the same question. First one to solve it wins."

Lavishka's eyes sparkled. "Game on!"

The three friends found a quiet spot, and Ridansh sent the question. Fingers flew across screens as they raced to solve the problem.

Mukta's eyes widened as she calculated. "I think I've got it!"

Lavishka's face lit up. "No way, I'm ahead!"

Ridansh chuckled. "We'll see about that!"
