Melissa stood at the altar, clutching her bouquet with both hands. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she remembered why she was marrying the mafia boss's son. He had stood her up, leaving her humiliated.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the back. All the guests turned to see a handsome young man in an expensive tuxedo. His well-toned body, blue eyes, and fresh fade haircut made him look like a model.
Melissa quickly wiped her tears, shocked by how handsome the mafia boss's son was. A bodyguard in a black suit followed him closely. As he approached the altar, he stumbled, nearly falling, but the bodyguard caught him just in time. Melissa noticed the smell of alcohol on him and felt a pang of disappointment, but she forced a smile.
Both the mafia boss and the priest sighed in relief as the son arrived. His name was Hayden, the youngest son of Elijah, with an elder brother, Harvey, who was now deceased. One of the guests whispered to his neighbor, "Can you believe this guy is going to take over his father's empire? If only his brother Harvey were still around..."
The priest began the vows. "Do you, Hayden Torex, take Melissa Wise as your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health?"
Hayden replied arrogantly, "Yes, I do," clearly showing he was being forced into the marriage.
