Knight took the unconscious Laxus, Juvia, and Erza aboard Popo's boat and set sail back to Hargeon.
The Night Before...
It was just past midnight at the Council's headquarters in a secluded library.
"You're back?" Zikrein asked, pulling a book off the shelf as Ultear entered the room.
"Yes, Master Zikrein. But there's bad news," Ultear sighed, her expression grim.
"What happened?"
"The seal of Deliora was lifted successfully... but the demon died right after."
"Died?" Zikrein was momentarily stunned. Deliora, a demon from Zeref's magic book, had once ravaged the North, spreading destruction like a mobile disaster. And now, it was simply dead?
A few days earlier, another demon, Lullaby, had also been defeated—smashed by that Fairy Tail wizard, Knight. But Lullaby didn't die, it just reverted into a flute.
"As expected of the great wizard Uru," Zikrein said after a moment of thought, shaking his head. "It doesn't matter. One less demon won't disrupt my plan."
He paused, his expression hardening. "The real problem is... Voldemort."
That mysterious figure knew his true identity and even his plan, but Zikrein knew nothing about him. Since their last private exchange, he had been searching for any information on this Voldemort character, but had come up with nothing. It was as if he didn't exist in the magic world at all.
Even if "Voldemort" was a pseudonym, Zikrein expected to find some clue tied to his real name. But no—nothing.
As Zikrein pondered this, Ultear spoke again, "I happened to run into Knight on Galuna Island."
"What? The man who created Internet Magic? What does he know?"
"He's incredibly powerful," Ultear said, her voice tinged with admiration. "Especially his eyes."
Knight's magic, particularly his ability to create Internet Magic and his piercing eye magic, had deeply impressed her. During their encounter in the cave, she had even considered revealing her identity to him, capturing him, and bringing him to the Dark Guild. But as she was only a projection at the time, she wasn't confident she could defeat him, so she let the opportunity pass.
"I asked if he knew Voldemort," she continued. "He didn't, though."
"Next time, ask him directly," Zikrein ordered. "We're the Council, we have the authority to investigate anyone."
"I understand, Master Zikrein," Ultear chuckled. "By the way, the magic network now has a new [Online Commission] feature—"
"It doesn't affect the plan. Ignore it."
Back in the Present...
With Popo's help, Knight, Erza, Juvia, and the still-unconscious Laxus made it back to Hargeon. From there, they took the magic train to Magnolia City. Juvia, however, had to transfer at Oak City.
At the station, Juvia looked hesitant to part ways.
Knight handed her a magic book. "Here, this is for you to return to your guild's library."
"Master Knight, have you finished reading it?"
"I scanned and uploaded it to the library. Thanks." Knight slid a magic bank card with 4 million jewels inside the book, sending her a private message to let her know.
Juvia blushed, waving goodbye as she boarded the train. As she left, it began to rain. Knight raised an eyebrow. Is this because I didn't offer to have dinner with her?
"Next time, I'll treat you to dinner!" he called out.
The rain stopped immediately. Juvia's smile lit up her face. "Juvia will wait for your message, Master Knight!"
Knight chuckled and turned away from the platform.
Outside the station, Erza was waiting with Laxus still knocked out on a cart. "Is she your girlfriend?" Erza asked.
"No," Knight denied flatly. He wasn't looking for a relationship. Juvia, though clearly affectionate, was a bit too... intense.
"She's just a good sister."
Erza didn't fully grasp the nuance behind that term but nodded in understanding.
After returning to the guild, Knight took Laxus to the infirmary and personally bandaged his injuries, which were mainly concentrated on his head.
"Sorry, Master," Knight apologized to Makarov, who had come to check on his grandson.
Makarov shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Laxus likely asked for this fight. It's a good lesson for him."
Knight thought to himself, Will this defeat fuel Laxus's eventual rebellion like in the original story? But for now, there were more pressing matters to attend to—like teaching his electronic pet to manage the Internet.
That Evening...
Back at his apartment, Uru manifested from the deep web, stretching lazily.
"I was suffocating in there! I couldn't show myself at all, afraid Makarov might see me," she said.
"Why are you afraid of him?" Knight asked, puzzled.
"He was a famous Saint Wizard in my time," Uru replied, sitting casually on the bed.
"You're welcome to ask him if he knows of a way to reshape your body," Knight suggested.
"Eh, maybe. But for now, Master Knight, I'm more curious... this place is so simple! Where do I sleep?" she teased, patting the bed with a mischievous smile.
Knight rolled his eyes. "Do you even need a bed as a ghost? Now, come learn how to manage the Internet."
Uru laughed softly, sitting down next to him as they began the lesson.
Suddenly, a private message popped up.
"Witch of Pain: [Hey, you still awake, bro? Sister can't sleep either.]
Witch of Pain: [I'm taking a bath~ Wanna see? ;) Sexy_girl.jpg]
Witch of Pain: [Too bad your magic net can't show pics! hehe.jpg]"
Uru's expression became curious. "Who's this?"
Knight chuckled. "Your daughter."
