[New function "Online Commission" has been released.]
[Evaluation: Good.]
After a brief moment, the system provided a "Good" rating. Knight felt satisfied. Considering it had only taken him two or three days to develop, it was a relief not to receive a more mediocre evaluation.
He then checked the reward:
[Additional reward: Air Dance.]
[Detected that this is not the Dragon Ball world. The reward is being converted...]
[Air Dance → Magic: Air Dance]
In an instant, Knight experienced the familiar sensation of new magical knowledge flooding his mind. The secrets of the magic known as Air Dance quickly became clear to him.
It was a powerful flying magic, allowing the user to soar through the sky freely.
"Good magic!" Knight remarked, his eyes gleaming. With a simple thought, his body began to float off the ground.
Though the apartment wasn't large, he carefully controlled the magic, keeping himself just a meter above the floor. The sensation was remarkable.
The magic gave him one clear feeling: absolute freedom. Once activated, it negated the effects of gravity, letting him move in any direction with ease. Even better, the magic's energy consumption was minimal at low speeds, comparable to his inherent magic, Six Eyes. However, high-speed flight drained magic power at a much faster rate.
"Overall, this is excellent magic," Knight concluded. "If I'd had this during my spar with Erza, winning would've been a lot easier."
Landing softly, he turned his attention to the main reward—10,000 magic rings.
"Distributing so many rings is no simple task," Knight thought. Juvia, who handled most of the ring circulation, wouldn't be able to manage such a large amount alone.
"I need a new strategy," he muttered. "Should I collaborate with the Council? Or maybe reach out to Lucy's father?"
He pondered for a moment but didn't make a decision. Ideally, he would use the magic network to have users exchange points for rings, which would help recycle points and create a shortage, motivating users to find more ways to earn points. This would ensure a constant cycle of activity.
Unfortunately, implementing such a system would take more time and effort than he could spare at the moment.
"Unless I could learn teleportation magic..." Knight mused, shaking his head. There was no rush.
Leaving the apartment, Knight headed toward the guild. He had been away for two days and found himself craving the food from the guild's tavern.
When he arrived, the guild members were buzzing with excitement over the new feature.
"So, you can take commissions online now?"
"Yeah, even if you're not in the guild, you can still accept requests. It's so convenient!"
"Knight! You're here!"
Someone called out, and soon the entire tavern was focused on him.
"Morning, everyone," Knight greeted with a smile.
"Two days without seeing you, and you roll out a whole new feature!" one guild member said.
"Good work, Knight!" another added.
Several people were eager to ask about the new function, but Knight waved them off with a chuckle. "I know you're curious, but don't worry. You'll figure it out soon enough."
He made his way to the bar, where Mirajane was waiting. She handed him a glass of light wine with a grin.
"Knight, I checked out the online commission section, and there aren't any jobs posted yet. Remember when you asked me to help with that?"
Knight nodded. "Exactly what you're thinking, Mira. I need you to update the guild's commissions and post them to the online section. Would that be too much trouble?"
Mirajane shook her head with a smile. "Not at all, Knight. If anything, your new feature makes my job easier."
"Great. Though, you'll need to run it by the guild master first."
"The master's at a routine council meeting," she replied. "But don't worry, I'll explain everything when he returns. He'll be thrilled with this new feature."
Knight smiled. "I'll leave it to you then." Finishing his drink, he added, "Erza wanted to talk to me about something, so I'm off to see her."
Knight soon arrived at the infirmary. Erza was still recovering from her injuries, but she looked much better than two days ago. While she could now walk around, full recovery would still take a few more days.
He knocked and entered after a moment.
"Erza, you said you had something important to discuss?"
Erza's expression grew serious. "Yes, it's very important. While I was on my last mission, I encountered members of the dark guild Iron Forest."
She explained that about four or five days ago, she had overheard members of Iron Forest in a small-town tavern discussing something suspicious. However, she had been too focused on her mission at the time to pursue them.
"I intended to investigate once I completed the job, but now… with my current condition, I can't."
Erza sighed in frustration.
Knight frowned. He knew about Iron Forest's plans from the main plot and had a bad feeling about what was coming next.
Sure enough, Erza's next words confirmed his worries.
"I heard them mention something called 'Lullaby,'" she said gravely. "Knight, I need you to investigate it. As members of a legal guild, we can't ignore the dark guilds. Who knows what kind of evil they're planning?"
Knight had to suppress a chuckle, thinking that Natsu's destruction might be more concerning than anything Iron Forest could plan. Still, he took the matter seriously.
"Lullaby, huh? If it's just information you need, why not ask the magic network?" he suggested.
