I'm alive I know that much, I opened my eyes and realized I was looking up at the trees the light was streaming down through them I must not have been passed out long, sighing I tried to push my body up but I couldn't move at all.
I thought this fall would kill me at worst but it seems as if i was proven wrong I didn't even think about the possibility of being paralyzed. panic stricken I tried to force my body to move again even though it was extremely painful...wait if I felt pain i couldn't be paralysed then from somewhere to the right I heard a cawing sound followed by laughter...damn bird
Huginn- I was waiting to see what you would do when you woke up but when you thought you were paralyzed and started bobbing your head all over the place caw caw caw you are the funniest dumbest human I have ever met.
Nine- ugh tell me whats wrong with my body then
Chuckling the bird flew over to nine and started scratching with its feet around his head and nine could slowing feel the weight lifting from him and after some minutes he began to be able to move his upper body but with that it brought sharp pain because of his broken ribs.
Huginn-you may be a dumb human but you are also lucky alot I guess this mud patch was here from the last rain and you landed in it, if you landed just 5 feet in either directiong the outcome might have been different.
bearing throught the pain nine was able to remove most of the mud with his hands and after a moment slowly started to get up.
ahhhh damnit that hurts I must have broken at least two ribs. getting steady on his feet and getting a bearing while looking around he noticed he was in a different area instead of a well lit green forest area it was more swamp like and the foliage was thicker here.
Nine mover away from the swampy area and decided to take out the water skin and take a few drinks. Every gulp hurt but he was getting dehidrated fast from all the running and falling.
Huginn! Do something useful and fly up and tell me our suroundings so I can get a general idea of the layout of this level look for anything resembling a building, Nine said between gulps.
I am no mere beast to order around human, said Huginn as he seemed to grow in size in an attemp to intimidate nine and then eventually he went back to his original size.
Yeah yeah whatever oh almighty bird of a god, Nine retorted

He couldnt help but feel he should be weary of the bird, it may have saved his life but its life was also in danger. He still wasn't to sure how this world worked and what dangers there existed because this tower has never been found and the difficulty of this one and the amount of floors could be different from the other towers.
Some people got lucky and found a tower with only one floor but the luck didn't last too long because they would find out later that their rank was not as good as others just because they had more floors which meant more time to grow stronger and to obtain more gear and items and skills.
He hoped this tower had ten floors, the most floors ever to be discovered so far was 25 floors and that person is strong at a national type of level. He was ambitious but still realistic.
Nine was pacing while waiting for the bird to get done sight seeing he couldn't trust him but he also needed him.
What could be taking that bird so long

Flying away from the human that somehow became his master he did not have conflicted feelings, this human was stupid but all humans were stupid worst of all this one was weak.
Sadly there was not much it could do it was stuck into a contract that bound their souls together It would have to have the weak one sever it willingly. Huginn knew many things about the world of the gods but in the tower he was just as new as the weakling.
soaring into the sky for a minute huginn realized that he was on a mission and put his worries away for now and looked for some kind of land marker.
Right away he found one but there was a problem
right in front of an ancient stone building there was a clearing and in that clearing there where giant green monsters, and right now it looked as if the two biggest ones where having a fight to the death. There was no way the human could possibly win against something like this.
Huginn turned around and flew towards his master to inform him of the situation but in the back of his mind he was thinking of a plan of his own.

Nine was still pacing and then he heard it.

what is it bird did you finaly become useful and find something.
Stupid human I will ignore that because I do have some news I did find a building not to far away but we have a problem there are giant green monsters fighting and it looks like they have a camp set up right in front of it, informed huginn
hmm well I think as long as we get to the building we should be fine I can use my item abilities to run through them when they're distracted, said nine
I'm not sure thats a good idea I didn't get a chance to see their level but they seemed to be strong and used to battle they seem experienced in battle too, when was the last time you actually got into a fight and won.
Fight? hmm I think the last time I got into a fight was when I was at the facility.

Nine started running in the direstion Huginn flew off towards and he told the bird to let him know if there where any enemies so he could try out shadow blend if need be. They went forword for some time and then Huginn stopped and started to circle.
There should be some time before we reach the camp, is it a scout or something, Nine thought
Approching quietly with the help of his shoes and skill he saw a gap in the trees and was about to look around the tree in front of him to see what the disturbance was but right when he was about to Huginn was close enough to speak into his head.
Wait, there is something right on the other side of that tree your at if you move you will likely die and it seems to know there is something in the area that wasn't there before it seems to be searching.
Nine automatically thought about his shadow blend skill and didn't move an inch as the skill took affect.
Where did you go human i lost your presence?? said Huginn confused.
Oh! so you can't even detect me even thought you are my familiar hmm this skill might be better than I thought. okay enough questions what does this beast look like, nine asked.
I'm not sure it has no hair and looks almost slimy and it has four legs and it's body is roughly the size of a humans but it walks like a beast and it is able to stick to the side of the tree and camouflage itself, but the worst part is the face it's almost as bad as yours human.

It's face looks a little human like but it's teeth are protruding from it mouth and it is salivating everywhere and it seems to be acidic.
Nine thought for a moment, So it's almost like a lizard with a human like face with alot of teeth and acid as saliva...
Theres no way I can fight this i might just have to hope it leaves but i have less then three minutes until my skill ends...
After a moment nine thought of something Wait, hey bird cause a distraction opposite of me and make it so it's back is facing me.
Huginn- You do know I am just a bird right
