Chapter 7- Eternal Sanctuary
___________
Time has always been my obsession, and my powers over space-time have always been my greatest focus for growth. I don't believe anyone in this world can develop these abilities more than I can. I can recreate countless moves from fiction and invent several of my own. With my space-time manipulation and immense potential, my growth speed alone shows me that I can sit among the top of the world simply by growing naturally, just like Sirzechs Lucifer did. But since there's already an example of someone reaching that height, I guess the threat against me is even greater. Some may try to kill me before I reach that level. So, I planned to use my space-time manipulation to create an invincible defense.
That was a year ago. Now, at the age of nine, after a year of relentless hard work and brainstorming with all my might, I have finally created one of the most powerful defenses in existence. In fact, I haven't seen such a defense in any work of fiction—it's definitely in a league of its own.
"My defense, Eternal Sanctuary, isn't just a shield; it's an incomprehensible fortress built from both space and time. At any given moment, my body doesn't exist in the present world. Instead, it resides in one of a trillion possible dimensions, each acting as a separate layer of protection. To even think about hitting me, an opponent would need to tear through space itself just to locate the dimension where my body resides.
Consider the sheer magnitude of this: there are a trillion possible dimensions, each functioning independently, like separate universes. Even if someone has the ability to cut through space, the chance of them finding the correct dimension is one in a trillion. And here's where it gets even more complicated: I'm not static within those dimensions. I don't just stay in one place, waiting to be found. I'm constantly moving, shifting between dimensions, never lingering in a single one long enough to be pinned down.
So, even if someone has the capability to break through the barriers of space and navigate the dimensional layers, they still face a monumental challenge. They have to strike the precise dimension where my body is currently located, but that dimension keeps changing. With every passing moment, my body shifts from one dimension to another, making it impossible for someone to track me accurately.
And that's just the first hurdle. Even if, by some astronomical stroke of luck—or immense power—they manage to find the correct dimension, they still won't be able to touch me. Time itself works differently within each dimension. My body, even within the correct dimension, isn't bound by a single moment of time. Instead, I fluctuate between the past, present, and future within that dimension. To hit me, they'd have to locate the exact point in time where my body is vulnerable.
That means that after breaking into the correct dimension, an opponent would still have to manipulate time within that dimension—traveling through it to find the precise moment when my body aligns with the present—or they would need the raw power to cut through time itself. But that's no simple feat. Time, unlike space, is fluid and far more difficult to tear apart. They would need to find the exact moment in the past or future where my body is anchored. Otherwise, they'll be attacking nothing but a moment of history that has already passed or a future that has yet to unfold.
Each dimension has its own flow of time, meaning that the moment where my body exists is constantly shifting. One second I might be anchored to the past; the next, I could be fleeting through the far future. Even if they understand the flow of time, they would still need a precise understanding of when to strike, and that's nearly impossible to predict.
To summarize, to land even a single blow on me, someone would need to break through the dimensional walls of space, find the exact dimension where my body resides, and then deal with the complexities of time within that dimension. They would have to manipulate or cut through time with such precision that they strike at the precise moment where I exist in the present. The odds of that happening are so infinitesimally small that even the strongest beings would struggle.
However, Eternal Sanctuary does come with a cost. This defense consumes an enormous amount of energy. Even with my near-Satan-level devil energy, I can't maintain it forever. In a non-combat state, I can hold the Sanctuary for about a day before my energy runs out. But in battle, where I'm constantly moving, fighting, and actively engaging my opponent, the energy consumption is much higher. A few hours at most, and I'll be completely drained. Once my energy is gone, the defense falls apart, and I'm left vulnerable. That's the risk—while Eternal Sanctuary is nearly impenetrable, it's not something I can sustain indefinitely."
But this doesn't worry me much. My energy levels are constantly increasing, and I doubt anyone could last even an hour against me while I'm in my untouchable state. Even if I haven't yet reached Satan-level power, I feel confident that I could hold my own against one of them now. And honestly, knowing this defense puts my mind at ease. My devil genes make me susceptible to confidence—sometimes excessive—but I definitely won't let myself grow arrogant. Well, maybe just a little… but I think I've earned it. After all, I've created the best defense in existence in just a year.
