The atmosphere in Lydia's office is heavy with determination and tension as we huddle around the desk. Victoria's live statement continues to play in the background, her voice dripping with feigned concern. I fight the urge to grab the tablet and smash it into pieces. Instead, I force myself to breathe, to focus.

"She's made the first public move," Lydia says, her tone clipped as she mutes the feed. "Now, it's up to us to flip the narrative before it sticks."

Alex leans against the wall, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. His jaw is set, his blue eyes blazing with barely contained fury. "She wants a war? She'll get one. I'll hold a press conference. I'll tell the world exactly who she is."

Lydia's sharp glare silences him. "That's the last thing we need. You going on the offensive will only give her more ammunition. She'll spin it as you being unstable, as her needing to 'protect' your child from you too."
