I woke up feeling refreshed and found myself laying next to Mr. Big as he stared at me in amassment. I smiled at him and lightly draw my index finger on his muscled hairy chest.
We heard a male clear his throat outside the tent flap. There was a flash of energy between us before someone came into the tent.
Alex stared at us on our bed fully dressed and staring up at him. "My apologies but we have trouble coming toward us." He said.
Mr. Big came to his feet quickly and held out his hand to me. I took his hand and he lifted me up to my feet. I looked between them. "Who is coming?" I asked.
Alex shook his head. "The like of which I have not seen sense the time of the demonic invaders war. Come." He said stiffly but I noticed him give Mr. Big a frown of disapproval.
Mr. Big if he noticed didn't show any sign of seeing the look as we were led outside. I noticed the skies above her troubled with magic. Someone was casting element storms around us. I looked around as I felt them approaching. I reached for my sword as I felt them close.
Elders Petros and Elder Gains were positioned besides each other with staffs in their hands as they began to summon up two large hulking ground guardians from the dirt beneath their feet.
I looked a head past the trees as I saw dark creatures appearing and running toward us like large black fury big cats. "What hell are they? I thought we were dealing with dragon beast." I asked.
"That was the same thing I thought as well Lady Wells." Alex said his head. Alex looked at Mr. Big. "Lord Big. You said we would be dealing with here?" He said.
Mr. Big shook his head. He pointed his finger blasted the sky with red lightning. He looked at me. "Meet them up ahead. Channel the power in the sky into a weapon. Fire will work best on them at close rang. Go." He said.
I ran ahead leaving both Alex and Mr. Big behind. Lightning began to crash down around me as I sped up toward them.
I stopped a distance before meeting the breasts. They came running up faster. I lifted my sword as the lightning came down strike my the blade drawing on the power I channeled it into my palm into a ball of energy and then cast it at the beasts head on. Two of the monstrous beasts were killed instantly but the others were able to leap over the blast or dive under the attack.
The one's that leaped over my attack of magic went on to attack the others while I was left to take on the beast that dived under the attack. I sliced at my enemies' bodies. They came at me rising up to two legs and slicing at me as they towered over me like giants.
I dodged under their attacks but I took a few swipes from their claws on my body. I fought back slicing off arms with my sword until I was sent flying backward as I was punched in the stomach.
I fell hard to the ground a feet away and sprang to my feet and shive my sword as the beasts stared at me not moving for some reason. I spat blood out from my mouth as I took out my shot gun took aim and fired off fire balls at them. The beasts were set a blaze in the flames as I loaded my shot gun again the others finally came at me.
I dodged to the side as a beast attempted to spear me in the chest. I grabbed his paw and set him blaze in fire. I let the burnt dead beast fall to the ground. The others started to fall back now as I walked forward loading my shotgun. I snarled as the sting of healing started activate. My skin burned and I could smell it burning as my skin and broken bones started to be regenerated.
"Draconian bitch!" One of the beast snarled at me.
I took aimed and fired at the beasts. They screamed and took off running away on two legs. I watched them go for a few seconds one of them looked back once. I lifted my pistol and fired on his back.
He roared and turned tail and ran. I then turned hurrying back as the beasts destroyed the ground guardians as the elders were down about to be killed while Mr. Big and Alex were contending with the remaining beasts.
I sped up took aim at the beasts attacking the two elders. The beasts screamed out in pain roaring in pain. they turned toward me and stared as I dropped my shut gun. I drew my sword and pistol and ran at the beasts. They roared at me as I approached them.
I shot one of them with my last round in my pistol and blasted him with a fireball before I dropped it and leaped up in the air on to the nearest beast stabbing him in forehead. The sword was stuck and I couldn't remove it. I was snatched off the dying beast by another.
I took hold of the neck of the beast and lite him on fire. The glowed brightly in a blaze of fire. He screamed at me roaring in pain and attempted to remove me but I held on until he was brought down and dead.
I fell to the floor reaching toward my long blade attached to my thigh. I draw the black blade and it caught fire as I turned toward the remaining beast. He stared at me seeing me and then turned toward Mr. Big.
Mr. Big took hold of the beast and it turned to dust at his touch. He stared at me. "Stand down." He commanded me.
I nodded and the flame went out of my blade. I holstered it in my sheath. I heard my bones pop in my shoulder and stomach. I started to turn back to get my weapons but I fell down to my knees as the need to rest overtook me.
I rolled down to my back and stared up at the sky as the healing pain over took me. I needed to rest. Mr. Big took a seat beside me and lifted my head up a bit to drink from his canteen. Warm potion went down my throat.
The drink was a rich strong flavor. I felt it worked through my body. My body went into a state of status now. I had over did it. Mr. Big removed the drink from my lips.
Alex took a position on my other side. "You made a few mistakes in battle." He said.
I nodded. "Teach me." I said.
Alex sighed. "You should have kept up your lightning and fire attacks from a distance and then mixed the lightning and fire together as a means to keep them from being on top you. You also should have focused on using your sword handy the whole time you were on the attack." He said.
I sighed. "I couldn't remove the sword from the beasts head." I said.
"Dear. The sword is enchanted to you. All you needed to do was call it to you hand when you needed it." Mr. Big said gentle.
I lay on the ground staring up at the still stormy skies. "Damn it. What mistake did you see me make?" I said.
Mr. Big pet my head. "You could have set the ground of blaze under their feet while you called the lightning to rain down on them. I seeded control of the element under your control." He said.
I sighed. As felt my own disappointment in myself only intensify. "I'm sorry." I said.
Mr. Big took my hand and kissed the back of it. "No worries Dear your still a young girl. Your still learning and growing." He said.
Alex sighed. "Lord Big. It will take Lady Wells a day to heal from her wounds is it safe for her to continue or do you think it is possible to send her back to the city." He said.
Mr. Big shook his head. "No. She will be safe with me. I will keep her safe and besides it will take us maybe two days now to get to the farm safely. They have set up traps along the way to slow down our journey. We will reach our destination and we will handle what is waiting for us." He said.
"Lord Big. We are dealing with demonic invaders. They only sent out their foot soldiers to test our might. The spies will send back the information about Lady Wells being with us and keep attempting to kill her because of her Draconian heritage." Alex said.
Mr. Big chuckled. "This will be a learning experience for my young noble consort. A safe learning experience." He said.
"Will it be necessary. For Lady Wells to have that experience?" Alex said.
Mr. Big nodded his head. "Yes. Indeed. Very much so." He said.
"Damn nation." Alex said cursing under his breath.
