Chapter 208 - Chapter 206: Will I Have to Marry Sui in the Future?

After seeing the flustered Megumi hurriedly retreat into her room, Sui also returned to his.

While taking a shower, Sui noticed something on the floor—a pair of white panties. He picked them up, inspecting them with a sigh. They must have been left behind by Megumi in her rush to leave. The panties were cute, with a small floral pattern printed on them.

After changing into his pajamas, Sui went to Megumi's door and knocked.

"Come in," she called.

Megumi had already changed into her pajamas, but her face was still red, clearly preoccupied with what had just transpired.

"I'm sorry about earlier," Sui said, nodding apologetically.

"It's okay, Sui. It was my mistake—I-I went into the wrong room." Megumi's cheeks flushed a deep red as she lowered her head, speaking in a soft voice. Their rooms were right across from each other, and the layouts were identical. With Sui in the bedroom and the door unlocked, she had mistakenly assumed it was her own room.

"Would you like some milk?" Sui offered, handing her a glass.

"Thank you," Megumi replied, taking a sip. Her complexion improved slightly, with a bit of color returning to her cheeks.

"By the way," Sui said, holding out the white panties, "I believe these are yours."

"Ah!" Megumi gasped, her face turning crimson as she quickly took the panties and hid them behind her back. "I'm so sorry—I forgot to take them."

"It's no big deal," Sui reassured her. After a brief pause, he added, "We don't have anything to do tonight. How about a game of cards?"

"Okay," Megumi hesitated for a moment before nodding. Usually, nights at the Polaris Dormitory were lively, but now, alone in her room, she felt a bit lonely.

The two of them began playing poker. Megumi, fresh from her bath, was dressed in a white nightgown. Her damp blue hair clung to her pale cheeks, and her legs—slender and smooth as white lotus stems—were curled up on the sofa. Her delicate toes, with their pink tips and clear nails, only added to her innocent charm. A faint fragrance surrounded her, making her seem more enchanting than ever.

Sui found himself captivated. He had spent a lot of time with Megumi and couldn't deny that he had developed feelings for her.

"Sui, it's your turn," Megumi said softly, noticing his lingering gaze. Her cheeks flushed red as she spoke.

"Right, sorry," Sui replied, quickly returning to the game.

As the night wore on, the atmosphere grew more intimate. Being alone together, and with the mutual attraction between them becoming more apparent, the room seemed to fill with unspoken tension.

"Sui..." Megumi's voice was soft, her face blushing as she looked at him with slightly hazy eyes.

"Hm? What is it?" Sui asked, feeling the warmth of her proximity. The faint scent of her body filled his senses, and when he looked at her, with her pouty lips and affectionate gaze, he couldn't resist leaning in and kissing her gently.

Megumi's body stiffened at the sudden contact. A flicker of embarrassment crossed her eyes, and though she instinctively wanted to push him away, she found herself unable to muster the strength. Sui's hand moved to caress her smooth calf, the soft touch sending a shiver down her spine.

Her face flushed even deeper as the unfamiliar sensation spread through her, filling her with a strange mix of fear and anticipation. Sui, feeling emboldened, gently pushed her back onto the sofa, his hands starting to wander upward.

As Megumi's heart raced, she felt a confusing blend of emotions. Part of her was nervous and fearful, but another part was curious and expectant about what might come next.

Just then, the door opened.

"Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you both the work schedule for tomorrow," Hinako entered with a bright smile—only for her expression to freeze upon seeing the two of them on the sofa.

"H-Hinako-senpai?!" Megumi leaped up like a startled deer, her face turning an even deeper shade of red.

"Oops, sorry! I didn't realize the door wasn't locked. I should have knocked first," Hinako said playfully, blinking innocently at them. "But don't mind me. You can start work a little later tomorrow."

With a mischievous grin, she left the room, leaving Sui and Megumi in an awkward silence.

Having been interrupted, the two quickly snapped out of the moment.

"I'm really sorry about what just happened. I couldn't control myself," Sui admitted with a nod.

"It's... it's okay," Megumi whispered, her head lowered in embarrassment.

The poker game was clearly over, and the two parted ways for the night.

Once Sui had left, Megumi squatted down on the floor and burst into quiet tears.

"Just now, I almost had... that kind of moment with Sui..." Megumi thought, trembling. Memories of her mother's advice before she left for Tokyo flashed through her mind, filling her with guilt. Not only had she failed to follow her mother's teachings, but her body had been seen, and she had almost gone too far.

"If that had happened, would I be unable to get married? Does that mean I have to marry Sui now?" she wondered, her thoughts swirling in confusion.

The next morning, Sui and Megumi took the train to Kirinoya for their internship, but Megumi kept her head down the entire time, avoiding eye contact.

Whenever Sui tried to speak to her, Megumi's face turned bright red, her behavior like that of a frightened fawn.

Sui felt a bit helpless. Clearly, yesterday's events had left a significant impact on her.

"Good morning!" Hinako greeted them as they arrived at the restaurant, a teasing smile on her face. "How was your night?"

"Oh, it was fine," Sui replied, his face flushing slightly. Hinako must have assumed they were a couple after walking in on them last night.

However, at that very moment, Megumi's eyes rolled back, and she fainted on the spot.

"Eh? What's going on with them?" Hoshino Miyuki asked, clearly curious about the drama.

"I'm not telling," Hinako said with a playful smile, leaving the mystery hanging in the air.
