My mother frowns and bites her lip looking apologetic meanwhile my father has a disapproved look on his face.
"Sweetheart I know we left you but we just wanted to travel and you seem to be doing well in life so I don't see the issue dear." she say's making my blood boil.
I was about to open my mouth but my brother steps in before I even get a word out.
"Mother you have no right to say anything, you left us and we moved on. We are doing just fine without you guys so fuck off" Nevada says with a glare making my mom break in a sweat.
"Do not talk to her like that, she is your mother respect her brat!" My father shouts casting attention on us from other students and their families near by.
"She wasn't a mother when she left us last time I check you both said you did what was best for you guys and said we were on our own! So no she isn't my mother anymore and your definitely not my father. Everest was more of a man and father than you will ever be!" Nevada replies and I swear I see his eyes glisten.
My brother hasn't cried in years but I think seeing our parents struck a nerve he never knew he had.
All eyes shift on us and I swear it feels like the world around me has gotten smaller and intimating. I never did well in crowded places unless its fun events where I can blow off steam.
Silence grows louder to where I can hear my own thoughts and heartbeats. The principal Mrs. Winy clears her throat and asks a security guard to escort my parents out and I have never been more grateful.
Mrs. Winy is the main reason I came to this university when she said she loved my art at a college fair. She offered me a full ride scholarship when I said I couldn't afford going to the academy. And her generosity has helped me and my siblings ever since.
It was less of a burden for my brothers to pay for my education and with me and my sister getting a scholarship for college made sure they could finally take a break and rest.
