The tension in the coastal village thickened as Gon and Killua sped through the narrow alleyways, determined to find the real controller of the nen-beast. The decoy they had encountered only confirmed one thing—this enemy was more cunning than they initially thought.
"There's no time to waste," Killua muttered, his Godspeed crackling around him. His sharp silver eyes darted left and right, scanning for any sign of their real target. "They're using clones to throw us off. The real one must be nearby."
Gon nodded, his focus unwavering. "We need to stop them before Tanjiro and the others get overwhelmed. Yūka can't hold that beast forever."
They turned a corner, the sounds of the distant battle ringing in their ears. The dark shadow looming over the village from the well was proof that their friends were struggling to hold the creature at bay. Every second counted.
Killua suddenly stopped, his eyes narrowing as he picked up on something faint—a flicker of nen that didn't belong to the decoy. "There," he said, nodding toward a small building at the edge of the village. The faint traces of nen were stronger now, emanating from somewhere inside.
"They're hiding in there," Killua said, his voice low and focused.
Without wasting a moment, Gon clenched his fists, his nen flaring around him. "Let's go!"
Meanwhile, at the Well...
The massive nen-beast thrashed violently as Yūka's shadows continued to coil around its limbs, binding it tighter with every passing second. Her face was pale, beads of sweat trickling down her forehead as she struggled to maintain control.
"Shin'en no Seirei, Bind..." she whispered through gritted teeth, her voice strained. The shadows obeyed, wrapping tighter around the beast's arms and legs, but the creature's immense strength was pushing her to her limits.
"We can't keep this up much longer," Biscuit called out, her expression serious as she kept her distance, watching for the beast's next move. "Yūka's hatsu is strong, but this thing's power is too much for her alone."
Tanjiro, his breathing steady and focused, raised his sword once more. His fiery nen aura flared around him as he took a deep breath, readying himself for another attack. "We need to keep weakening it. As long as Yūka's binding holds, we still have a chance."
Nezuko, standing close to Tanjiro, nodded silently. Her demonic aura flickered, her eyes glowing faintly as she prepared to attack again. She glanced at her brother, waiting for his signal.
Tanjiro gave a slight nod. "Now, Nezuko!"
With a burst of speed, the siblings charged forward. Tanjiro swung his sword in a blazing arc, his Hinokami Kagura technique cutting through the air with precision. Nezuko, her claws glowing with nen, followed up with a series of quick strikes, targeting the beast's legs and lower body, where its form seemed more unstable.
"Hinokami Kagura, Flame Dance!" Tanjiro shouted, his sword igniting as it slashed through the creature's shadowy mass.
Nezuko's strikes landed with force, her movements fluid and deadly. Together, their coordinated attack chipped away at the beast's form, forcing it to reel back in pain.
But the creature roared in defiance, its massive arm swinging toward them with a crushing force. Biscuit leapt in just in time, her small frame transforming into her muscular form as she blocked the blow with her bare hands.
"Don't get too close!" Biscuit warned, her voice stern. "This thing's far from done!"
Tanjiro nodded, stepping back to regroup as the beast's arm reformed, twisting and writhing in the air. It was clear that as long as the controller remained hidden, the beast wouldn't be fully defeated.
"We need Gon and Killua to find the one controlling it," Tanjiro muttered under his breath.
Yūka, still holding the beast in place, glanced over at Tanjiro, her voice barely a whisper. "I can... hold it for a little longer, but you need to be ready for when the controller is found."
Inside the Building
Gon and Killua burst into the small building at the edge of the village, their senses on high alert. The faint aura of nen that Killua had detected was stronger now, filling the air with a malevolent energy.
"They're here," Gon said quietly, his eyes scanning the dimly lit room.
Suddenly, from the shadows, a figure stepped forward, their face hidden beneath a dark hood. The aura around them pulsed with power—a mixture of confidence and danger. This was the real controller.
"So, you finally found me," the figure said, their voice low and mocking. "I didn't expect you to make it this far, but it won't matter. The beast will crush your friends before you can do anything about it."
Killua's eyes narrowed as he took a step forward, his nen crackling around him. "We'll see about that."
Without warning, the figure raised their hand, and a surge of dark nen filled the room. It was the same energy that controlled the beast outside, but now it was concentrated, aimed directly at Gon and Killua.
Gon clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with determination. "We're not letting you get away with this!"
Killua's Godspeed activated in a flash, his movements blurring as he charged toward the enemy, lightning sparking around his body. He aimed a precise strike at the controller's chest, but the figure moved swiftly, dodging the attack and retaliating with a blast of dark energy.
"Jajanken: Rock!" Gon shouted, his fist glowing with nen as he followed up with a powerful punch aimed at the controller's side.
The impact sent the enemy crashing against the wall, but they quickly recovered, their nen aura flaring in response. "You're too late," they hissed. "Even if you defeat me, the beast will continue to fight."
Killua smirked, his eyes gleaming with confidence. "That's what you think."
With a burst of speed, Killua closed the distance again, this time aiming for the nen thread that connected the controller to the beast outside. His sharp instincts allowed him to see the faint line of nen linking them, and in a single motion, he sliced through it with precision.
The connection snapped, and the dark aura surrounding the controller flickered violently. Their eyes widened in shock as they realized what had happened.
"No!" they screamed, their control over the beast slipping away.
The Beast's Fall
Back at the well, Yūka's strained voice faltered as the nen-beast began to dissolve, its form unraveling as the connection to its master was severed. The oppressive energy that had weighed down the air lifted, and the beast's massive body crumbled into shadows, dissipating into nothing.
Tanjiro and Nezuko, who had been ready to attack again, paused as the beast vanished before their eyes. The battle was over.
"We did it," Tanjiro said, relief washing over him as he lowered his sword.
Nezuko, still tense from the fight, finally relaxed, her glowing eyes dimming as she glanced at her brother.
Biscuit, reverting to her smaller form, gave a satisfied nod. "Looks like Gon and Killua found the controller."
Yūka, exhausted but relieved, let out a long breath as her hatsu faded. "It's over."
Aftermath
Moments later, Gon and Killua returned, the defeated controller in tow. The figure, now powerless, glared at the group with resentment but said nothing.
"We broke the connection," Killua said, his voice calm but firm. "The beast is gone for good."
Gon grinned widely, wiping sweat from his brow. "We did it!"
Tanjiro smiled at them, grateful for their quick thinking and teamwork. "Thank you, Gon, Killua. We couldn't have done it without you."
The group stood together in the fading light, the village finally free from the dark presence that had plagued it. There was still much to do, more challenges to face, but for now, they had won.
And with every victory, they grew stronger.
