The battlefield was a warzone of fire, lightning, and blood. The sky had darkened under Muzan's relentless onslaught, and the earth beneath them trembled with the weight of his fury. The combined efforts of Tanjiro, Gon, Killua, and the Hashira had brought Muzan to the brink, but the Demon King's body still pulsed with unholy power, regenerating faster than they could strike him down.
Muzan's blood-red eyes glowed with malice as he towered over the group, his form contorting as his body struggled to maintain its shape. His regeneration, though powerful, was starting to falter under the weight of the relentless attacks.
"You… pathetic humans…" Muzan growled, his voice dripping with hatred. "I will tear you apart, piece by piece."
Tanjiro, his breathing ragged and his body trembling with exhaustion, stood tall despite the overwhelming force before him. His sword, still blazing with the fiery energy of Hinokami Kagura, trembled in his hands. "We… we can do this!" he shouted, though his voice was strained. "We've come too far to give up now!"
Rengoku's fiery eyes blazed with determination as he stepped forward, his sword still burning with the flames of his Flame Breathing technique. "Tanjiro is right. We've fought too hard to let this monster win. We fight together!"
Gon, standing beside Tanjiro, nodded, his fists glowing with nen. His body was battered and bruised, but his spirit remained unbroken. "We'll beat him! No matter what it takes!"
Killua, his silver eyes gleaming with resolve, wiped blood from his lip, his body crackling with electricity from Godspeed. "He's not invincible. We just have to push him harder."
Muzan's eyes narrowed, his body twisting and writhing as he prepared for another devastating attack. His claws extended, dripping with the same deadly blood that had felled so many before. "You will all die here," he hissed, his voice filled with unholy fury. "I will end you."
Without warning, Muzan lunged forward, his speed blinding as he aimed for Tanjiro with a vicious swipe of his claws.
But before Muzan could land the blow, Rengoku's flames roared to life, his blade intercepting Muzan's strike with a powerful slash. "Flame Breathing, Ninth Form: Rengoku!" he roared, the flames burning hotter than ever as they engulfed Muzan's form.
The force of the attack pushed Muzan back, but his body twisted and regenerated, the flames barely slowing him down. Muzan's eyes flared with rage as he countered with a wave of dark energy, aiming to crush Rengoku beneath the weight of his power.
But Killua and Gon were already moving. "Jajanken: Rock!" Gon shouted, his fist slamming into Muzan's side with explosive force.
Killua zipped around Muzan with Godspeed, his claws crackling with electricity as he struck Muzan from the other side. "Thunderbolt!"
The combined force of their attacks sent Muzan skidding across the battlefield, his form flickering as his regeneration struggled to keep up.
"We're wearing him down!" Gon shouted, his heart racing with adrenaline. "He can't keep this up forever!"
But even as they pushed him, Muzan's eyes gleamed with fury. "You fools…" he hissed, his voice filled with venom. "I am eternal!"
A New Hope
As the battle raged on, Ubuyashiki watched from the edge of the battlefield, his eyes calm but filled with determination. He had seen enough battles to know when the tide was turning. Muzan was faltering, but his power was still immense. It would take everything they had to finish this.
"We've pushed him to the edge," Ubuyashiki said softly, his gaze focused on the fight. "But to defeat him… they will need to break his connection to his power completely."
Shinobu, standing beside Ubuyashiki, her sharp eyes gleaming with determination, nodded. "We need to find a way to sever his link to the demons. If we can do that, his regeneration will stop."
Tengen, his dual blades flashing in the dim light, grinned. "Then let's get flashy and cut him down."
Giyu, ever calm and composed, stepped forward, his sword at the ready. "It's time to end this."
Ubuyashiki's gaze shifted to Tanjiro, Gon, and Killua as they continued to battle Muzan with everything they had. "You've done well," Ubuyashiki whispered. "Now… finish this."
The Final Assault
Tanjiro's heart raced as Muzan's form twisted and contorted, his regeneration slowing but still dangerous. His grip tightened on his sword, the flames of Hinokami Kagura burning bright, but he knew they were running out of time. If they didn't stop Muzan soon, they would all fall.
"We have to sever his connection to the demons," Tanjiro said, his voice filled with urgency. "That's the only way to stop his regeneration!"
Gon, his eyes burning with determination, nodded. "We'll do whatever it takes!"
Killua's silver eyes narrowed as he activated Godspeed once more, his body crackling with electricity. "Let's end this."
Rengoku, his flames still burning brightly, stepped forward, his fiery eyes locking onto Muzan. "We'll create an opening. Tanjiro, Gon, Killua—strike when you see it."
Tanjiro's heart pounded in his chest as he nodded. "Right!"
The Hashira moved as one, their swords flashing through the air as they attacked Muzan from every direction. Rengoku's flames burned hotter than ever, while Shinobu's venom-laced strikes darted through the air with lethal precision. Tengen's dual blades flashed, and Giyu's water-like movements were fluid and precise.
Muzan, though powerful, was now on the defensive, his regeneration faltering under the relentless assault. "You… cannot stop me!" Muzan roared, his voice filled with fury.
But Tanjiro, Gon, and Killua were already in motion.
Tanjiro activated Hinokami Kagura, his sword blazing with fiery energy as he surged toward Muzan. "Hinokami Kagura, Clear Blue Sky!" His blade slashed through the air, aiming for Muzan's core.
At the same time, Gon's fists glowed with nen as he charged from the other side. "Jajanken: Rock!" he shouted, his fist crashing into Muzan's side with immense force.
Killua, moving with lightning speed, darted around Muzan, his claws crackling with electricity. "Godspeed: Whirlwind!" His strikes were blindingly fast, targeting Muzan's weak points with surgical precision.
The combined force of their attacks struck Muzan at the same time, and for a brief moment, his form flickered. The connection between him and the demons wavered, as though they had severed a thread holding his power together.
Muzan's eyes widened, a flash of fear crossing his face. "No…!" he hissed, his voice filled with fury and desperation.
This was their chance.
"Now, Tanjiro!" Gon shouted, his voice filled with urgency.
Tanjiro, his sword blazing, surged forward with everything he had. "Hinokami Kagura, Burning Bones, Summer Sun!" His blade ignited with the full power of the sun as he aimed for Muzan's heart.
The flames roared to life, engulfing Muzan's body as Tanjiro's blade struck true.
For the first time, Muzan let out a scream of pure agony.
The ground beneath them trembled as Muzan's body twisted and contorted, the flames burning through him, his regeneration unable to keep up. His form began to collapse, his connection to the demons severed.
"You… you cannot… defeat me…" Muzan's voice was filled with desperation, his body flickering as if struggling to maintain its shape.
But the damage had been done.
As Muzan's body began to disintegrate, his blood-red eyes locked onto Tanjiro with one final, furious glare. "This… is not the end," he hissed, his voice barely a whisper. "I will… return…"
And with that, Muzan's form collapsed into ash, consumed by the flames of Tanjiro's attack.
The battlefield fell silent.
Aftermath
Tanjiro, his body trembling from exhaustion, collapsed to his knees, his sword still burning with the last remnants of Hinokami Kagura. The weight of the battle finally caught up to him, and he struggled to catch his breath.
Nezuko rushed to his side, her eyes filled with concern as she crouched beside him, her hand resting on his shoulder.
"We… we did it…" Tanjiro whispered, his voice weak but filled with relief.
Gon and Killua, both battered and bruised, stood beside Tanjiro, their faces filled with the same mixture of exhaustion and triumph. "Yeah… we did," Gon said, his smile bright despite the pain in his body.
Rengoku, his flames finally extinguished, smiled proudly as he looked down at Tanjiro. "You fought well, Tanjiro," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "We all did."
Ubuyashiki, watching from the edge of the battlefield, smiled softly, his eyes filled with pride and relief. "It is over," he said quietly. "Muzan has fallen."
The Hashira, though exhausted, stood tall, their eyes filled with a sense of victory. For the first time in centuries, the threat of Muzan was gone.
The nightmare was over.
