Chapter 1 - Promises

The young Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja sitting side by side under a tree in an orphanage. They are both holding a single lollipop between them, taking turns licking and sucking on it. Yoo Joonghyuk is already tall and quite mature for his age, while Kim Dokja is a bit shorter and still has a sweet innocence about him.

The older kids are playing nearby, their loud voices and laughter fading into the background as Yoo Joonghyuk and Dokja focus on their treat. Yoo Joonghyuk watches Kim Dokja closely, noticing the way his small tongue swirls around the lollipop, his lips closing around it with a satisfying pop.

As if feeling Yoo Joonghyuk's gaze, Kim Dokja looks up with a soft smile. "What is it?" he asks, his voice still young and innocent. Yoo Joonghyuk shrugs and looks away, pretending to be uninterested.

"Nothing," he mutters, trying to sound nonchalant. But he can't help sneaking glances at Dokja's plump lips, watching as they pucker around the lollipop and slide over the sticky sweetness.

Kim Dokja seems oblivious to Yoo Joonghyuk's inner thoughts, his attention fixed on the lollipop in his hand. "I wish we had two," he sighs, looking down at the half-eaten treat. "Then we wouldn't have to take turns."

Yoo Joonghyuk grunts in agreement, but his mind is elsewhere. He's wondering what it would taste like if they sucked on the lollipop at the same time, their lips meeting and...he stops himself before his thoughts get too carried away.

"Maybe one day we'll have two," he replies, trying to sound casual. "Or even more."

Kim Dokja nods, his attention back on the lollipop. "That would be nice," he says, before taking another long, slow lick along the length of it.

Yoo Joonghyuk's eyes follow the movement of Dokja's tongue, his heart rate quickening as he watches him. He's never thought much about girls or boys before, but something about Dokja makes his stomach flutter.

As the lollipop is finished, Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja sit in comfortable silence, the sun setting behind them. Kim Dokja turns to Yoo Joonghyuk with a determined expression.

"Joonghyuk," he says, "Promise me something."

Yoo Joonghyuk raises an eyebrow, curious about what Dokja wants to ask him. "What is it?"

"I want you to promise me that you'll marry me when we grow up," Kim Dokja says, sounding almost serious. Yoo Joonghyuk is taken aback at first, not expecting such a request. But then he smirks and shrugs.

"Sure, I promise."

"You better keep your word," Dokja warns, poking Yoo Joonghyuk on the shoulder with a small frown. "If you don't, I'll...I'll kick your butt!"

Yoo Joonghyuk laughs at Dokja's threat, amused by his childish threat. "I'll keep my word, don't worry."
