Nick fell tiredly on his bed and let out a deep sigh.
He could never have predicted that his day would end up even more eventful than he thought.
'Wait, thinking about it, I knew those men would try to get their revenge. I just didn't care,' Nick thought, then let out another deep sigh.
"No wonder that brat told me to watch out."
In the darkness of his apartment, too tired to do anything, Nick yawned and just settled into bed.
But right then, shouts and screams came down from the apartment right above him. And with his peak human hearing capability, he couldn't escape listening even if he wanted to.
"Ah, dammit. They're going at it again," he muttered, referring to Emma and Tony.
He used the pillows to shield his ears, but they only managed to muffle the argument a bit.
"I can work with this, at least," he said, forcefully closing his eyes and beginning to count sheep.
