"Mo Yu?!"

Upon hearing this name, the five mercenaries' faces immediately changed as they hurriedly drew their weapons.

This youth, who had crippled the Wolf Head Mercenary Group's deputy leader and killed its second leader, was now infamous throughout Qing Shan Town, labeled an extremely dangerous individual. Even the Da Dou Shi expert was enraged by him.

As soon as they heard Mo Yu reveal his name, the two young female mercenaries became so nervous that they could barely hold onto their weapons.

"Mr. Mo Yu, we've never interfered with each other. May I ask what brings you here today?" The middle-aged man leading the group spoke up first.

Raising an eyebrow, Mo Yu smiled faintly. "You setting up camp here has nothing to do with me, but it seems the person you were just talking about was me."

Hearing this, the mercenaries exchanged awkward glances. It had just been idle chatter; no one expected the person they were gossiping about to appear in front of them.

From Mo Yu's tone and expression, however, they realized he didn't seem as cruel and ruthless as the rumors spread by the Wolf Head Mercenary Group had claimed.

"Hehe, Mr. Mo Yu, we didn't mean to speak ill of you behind your back, and for that, we sincerely apologize." With that, the middle-aged mercenary led the others in bowing toward Mo Yu.

Considering that Mo Yu had killed Gan Mu, the Wolf Head Mercenary Group's second leader and a nine-star Dou Zhe, they didn't dare act otherwise. The strongest among them was the middle-aged mercenary, who was only a five-star Dou Zhe.

Seeing their humble demeanor, Mo Yu waved his hand dismissively. "Since it was unintentional, forget it. But I'd like to learn a bit more about Qing Shan Town, and I'll be staying here for the night. Is that alright?"

The mercenaries exchanged looks again, silently communicating with each other. Finally, the middle-aged man, named Ka Gang, nodded. "Of course, I'm Ka Gang. Mr. Mo Yu, you are welcome to stay."

Ka Gang then turned to the young female mercenary, "Ling'er, set up a tent for Mr. Mo Yu."

"Oh… okay." Ling'er, who seemed quite young, nodded hurriedly, casting a curious glance at Mo Yu.

Once seated by the campfire, Mo Yu was introduced to the other three mercenaries. But he quickly asked the question he was most concerned about.

"How is Xiao Yixian?"

When he and Xiao Yixian had parted ways, he had given her a special communication token. Yet, despite the danger she seemed to be in, she hadn't called for his help. This puzzled Mo Yu.

"Xiao Yixian?" Hearing Mo Yu's question, the mercenaries fell silent. Eventually, the young girl Ling'er spoke up. "Xiao Yixian was captured by the Wolf Head Mercenary Group several days ago. My father said they plan to publicly execute her in a few days to force you to show up."

"Your father is…?"

"Oh, Ling'er's father is one of the higher-ups in our Blood Battle Mercenary Group. He knows quite a few people in the Wolf Head Mercenary Group," Ka Gang explained.

"Blood Battle Mercenary Group…" Mo Yu muttered to himself. Like the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, Blood Battle was one of the three largest mercenary groups in Qing Shan Town.

Since Ling'er's father was in a high position, Mo Yu believed her information was likely accurate.

A cold light flashed in Mo Yu's eyes. Mo Yin and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group had crossed a line this time. Using Xiao Yixian to threaten him? They would pay dearly for this!

"Are you going to save Xiao Yixian?" one of the female mercenaries in a green robe mustered the courage to ask.

Mo Yu stood up and glanced at the green-robed woman, his expression calm. Without answering, he turned and walked toward his tent.

Seeing him walk away without a word, Ling'er and the others were disappointed. They didn't know the exact relationship between Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian, but they had heard that she hadn't revealed any information about Mo Yu. Yet, he seemed indifferent to her plight. It struck them as cold-hearted and selfish.

Just as they began to feel a hint of disdain for him, Mo Yu stopped at the entrance of his tent. Turning back, he addressed Ka Gang.

"By the way, Uncle Ka Gang, could you guide me to the Wolf Head Mercenary Group's headquarters tomorrow? I need to return to Qing Shan Town as soon as possible, and if possible, take me directly to their base."

With that, Mo Yu stepped into his tent and zipped it shut.

"He's going to the Wolf Head Mercenary Group's headquarters? There's a Da Dou Shi waiting for him there!" Ling'er exclaimed in shock.

"Mr. Mo Yu… I think he's planning to save Xiao Yixian," Ka Gang mused, recalling the youth's composed demeanor.

The others were stunned. Rescuing Xiao Yixian meant going up against a Da Dou Shi, essentially walking into the jaws of death.

Earlier, they had judged him as selfish, but now they saw that he was neither timid nor weak. Very few people would dare enter the lair of a Da Dou Shi. Was he courageous and loyal, or simply foolish?

The next morning, under the watchful eyes of the mercenaries, Mo Yu emerged from his tent, well-rested and ready.

"Mr. Mo Yu, if you're ready, we can set off once we pack up," Ka Gang said respectfully.

"Thank you. But is something troubling you?" Mo Yu noticed the older man's hesitation.

Ka Gang hesitated before speaking. "Mr. Mo Yu, the Wolf Head Mercenary Group is actively hunting you. Their headquarters has a Da Dou Shi guarding it. Are you sure about this?"

Mo Yu waved his hand dismissively. "Thank you for your concern, but I've made up my mind. I will save Xiao Yixian, and I will destroy the Wolf Head Mercenary Group. Not even a Da Dou Shi can stop me!"

Ka Gang shook his head slightly, feeling pity for the youth's overconfidence.

Half a day later, they arrived at Qing Shan Town. As Mo Yu gazed at the bustling streets and the Wolf Head Mercenary Group's headquarters in the distance, a smile crept onto his lips.

"Thank you for guiding me, Uncle Ka Gang," Mo Yu said, handing over a black pouch filled with several thousand gold coins.

Ka Gang tried to refuse, but Mo Yu tossed the pouch to him, waved, and walked straight toward the mercenary group's headquarters.

Watching him go, Ka Gang and his group were filled with admiration.

Whether he was reckless or loyal, it took extraordinary courage to face such danger so calmly.

"Let's head back," Ka Gang said, turning to leave.

"Where to?" Ling'er asked, puzzled.

"To inform our Blood Battle Mercenary Group's leader. I have a feeling Mr. Mo Yu might surprise us all…"

As Mo Yu approached the gates of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, the guards moved to stop him. But when they saw his face, they froze, and excitement flickered in their eyes.

"Mo Yu, Mo Yu is here!"

Before the shout could leave his mouth, a crimson thunder bolt streaked across the sky out of nowhere. In an instant, the body of this Five-Star Dou Zhe was charred, as if struck by thunder, and he silently perished…

At this moment, inside the hall.

Mu She, the head of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group and a renowned expert in Qing Shan Town, was bowing respectfully before a black-robed man as if he were a mere subordinate.

"What's going on? It's been days, and there's still no news about that little brat?" The black-robed man, of course, was Mo Yin. After failing to kill Mo Yu last time, he had come to Qing Shan Town to recover from his severed arm and use the Wolf Head Mercenary Group to track down Mo Yu.

Mu She, the leader of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, held a grudge against Mo Yu for past injuries and treasure theft, so he was more than willing to help.

"Sir, Mo Yu seems to have hidden deep within the Magical Beast Mountain Range. There are many high-level magical beasts there, and my mercenaries don't have the strength to venture too far in," Mu She explained respectfully.

"Useless! All of you are useless!" Mo Yin's raspy, venomous voice interrupted Mu She's words.

Squinting, Mo Yin glanced at his empty right sleeve, and suddenly recalled the mysterious technique Mo Yu used by the abyss. His heart couldn't help but tremble slightly, followed by a deep surge of killing intent. "No matter what, find Mo Yu within three days. Otherwise, the Wolf Head Mercenary Group will have no reason to exist!"

Upon hearing this, Mu She shuddered, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. The words of this Da Dou Shi expert clearly meant he would wipe out the entire Wolf Head Mercenary Group!

In a panic, Mu She quickly said, "Sir, we could use Xiao Yixian to lure him out."

"Oh? That wench hasn't said anything, has she?"

"Hmph, we don't need her to talk. Mo Yu and Xiao Yixian went treasure hunting together, so their relationship must be close. If we publicly execute her, I doubt Mo Yu won't show up!"

As he said this, a hint of malice flashed in Mu She's eyes. Once this vicious plan was put into action, given Xiao Yixian's influence in Qing Shan Town, the Wolf Head Mercenary Group might not be able to remain there. But to kill Mo Yu, it would all be worth it.

If they could seize the treasure Mo Yu had acquired, the Wolf Head Mercenary Group could develop even further.

As Mu She was calculating, a mercenary suddenly rushed in, flinging the door open in panic. "Captain! Mo Yu has broken through the front gate!"

"What?" Mu She was dumbfounded by the news.

Mo Yin was equally shocked. He immediately shot up from his seat, strode forward, and grabbed the mercenary. "How many people did he bring?"

"Just himself!" The mercenary replied with a strange expression.

"Alone?" Mo Yin's face twitched as if he had misheard. He had expected Mo Yu to bring a few of the Xiao family's Da Dou Shi experts, or even that terrifying Dou Wang powerhouse who had made his legs weak before.

But hearing it was just Mo Yu alone, he asked in disbelief, "You're telling me he charged into our headquarters by himself?"

The mercenary quickly nodded.

"That brat, has he lost his mind? Does he think he can take me on by himself? I'll show him the terror of a Da Dou Shi!" Mo Yin sneered coldly, his lips twitching. His face darkened as he strode towards the hall's exit, his voice hoarse and menacing, "It's just as well—saves us the trouble of searching for him. Mu She, have your men seal the gates. He'll know this is where he dies!"

"Understood!" Mu She nodded heavily, a cruel smile spreading across his face. He immediately called for one of his subordinates to carry out Mo Yin's orders.

"Let's go see what gave this brat the courage to charge in alone!" Mo Yin waved his hand, chuckling coldly. He led the way out of the hall, heading towards the front yard, with Mu She and his men hastily following behind.

As they crossed the front hall and arrived in the courtyard, they saw a young man dressed in green standing with a faint smile at the broken front gate.

At his feet lay more than a dozen of the Wolf Head Mercenaries, their bodies charred black like coal. The once sturdy gate had been blasted to pieces.

"Mo Yin, long time no see." The young man slowly raised his head, meeting the black-robed figure's gaze. He glanced at Mo Yin's empty right sleeve and smirked coldly.

"Today, brat, you're going to stay here forever!"

Ignoring the chaos around him, Mo Yin's venomous eyes locked onto Mo Yu. He stepped forward, pointing at the young man as his face twisted with hatred.

But in response to Mo Yin's declaration of death, the young man's lips curled into an eerie smile.

"Mo Yin, old bastard, I'm not your opponent today."

Hearing this, Mo Yin paused, his face suddenly filled with caution as he scanned the surroundings. Could it be that the Xiao family had really sent reinforcements? Damn it, if I had known, I'd have asked my family for help, hoping even the Grand Elder would come!

Seeing Mo Yin's immediate vigilance, Mo Yu's eyes showed a hint of disdain. He stroked the beast ring on his right hand, and in the next moment, with a thought, a massive magical beast appeared in the courtyard.

The once-spacious courtyard suddenly felt cramped as a large beast materialized. With its purple wings flapping, sending gusts of wind and emitting a terrifying aura, the expressions of the Wolf Head Mercenaries, including Mo Yin, instantly darkened, as if frozen in fear.

"A Three-Star Magical Beast!"
