The battle had ended, but while the magical beasts scoured the mountains in search of Yun Yun under the orders of the Amethyst Winged Lion King, Mo Yu quietly searched for her, making sure not to alert any beasts.
Luckily for him, he found her by a river beneath a waterfall.
There, floating above the water, was a beautiful woman dressed in plain white, her eyes tightly shut and her face pale, clearly showing the extent of her injuries.
"Seems like I've found you," Mo Yu muttered to himself, eyes lighting up as he rushed into the water and gently lifted her.
Due to the water, Yun Yun's clothes were soaked through, clinging to her body and revealing her graceful, curvy figure. The softness of her skin felt like smooth jade in Mo Yu's hands, sending a brief thrill through him. But now was not the time for such thoughts.
As the roars of nearby beasts echoed closer, Mo Yu quickly sprinted back to his mountain cave, carrying Yun Yun.
Once they were safely within fifty meters of his cave, Mo Yu took a deep breath, then carefully spread the aura of the Vermilion Burning Sky Thunder around the cave entrance. This aura carried the pressure of a high-level magical beast, deterring other beasts from venturing near, effectively creating a safe zone.
Gently placing Yun Yun on the stone platform inside the cave, Mo Yu finally took a moment to appreciate her beauty. She was indeed stunning, but Mo Yu quickly refocused on the task at hand.
His gaze moved down to her chest, where five deep claw marks marred her skin.
"Looks like these wounds are the reason she's still unconscious. I need to treat them quickly," he murmured. Mo Yu didn't want his efforts to save her to go to waste, nor did he want her dying before his plans could come to fruition.
Luckily, among the herbs given to him by Little Doctor Immortal, there were some that were effective for external wounds. After about fifteen minutes, he had prepared a healing salve.
Just as Mo Yu was about to undo Yun Yun's clothes to apply the medicine, her eyes suddenly snapped open. A cold and embarrassed look flashed across her face as she glared at the young man.
"You're awake?" Mo Yu said, surprised but calm. He held up the small jade bottle of medicine and spoke softly, "Don't worry, I was just going to help you treat your wounds. But since you're awake now, you can do it yourself."
He placed the bottle beside her and took a few steps back.
Though Mo Yu was familiar with Yun Yun's character from the original story, he had no idea if she might suddenly attack him in real life, so he remained cautious.
Seeing Mo Yu retreat, Yun Yun's tense posture relaxed slightly, and the coldness in her gaze lessened. However, when she tried to treat herself, she quickly realized her entire body was numb and unresponsive.
After struggling in vain to move, Yun Yun closed her eyes for a moment. But when she opened them again, she found the young man standing before her once more, smiling.
"Let me help you with the medicine," Mo Yu offered, his smile sincere and his eyes clear of any ill intent.
Seeing his genuine demeanor and sensing no harm from him, Yun Yun's wariness faded. She spoke softly, "Thank you."
"No need to thank me. Since I brought you here, I'll help you fully recover," Mo Yu said calmly.
Yun Yun couldn't help but take a closer look at the young man. His calmness was remarkable, especially given that she was a powerful Dou Emperor. Even she was considered a composed person, but Mo Yu's composure seemed to surpass her own. His deep, calm eyes showed no trace of fear or panic.
"What a strange boy," she thought, wondering which family or empire he came from.
Mo Yu, unaware of Yun Yun's inner thoughts, approached her and caught a faint scent of her fragrance mixed with the smell of blood. Carefully, he tore a small section of her robe to reveal the wound beneath.
Beneath the white robe, Yun Yun wore a light blue, metallic inner armor that shimmered like water under the light. Deep claw marks were etched into the armor, and fresh blood still trickled from the gashes.
"This inner armor is at least tier five, maybe even tier six. Without it, the Amethyst Winged Lion King's attack could have torn her upper body apart," Mo Yu mused, recognizing the armor's high quality with a glance.
"I'll need to remove your armor to properly treat your wounds," Mo Yu said in a steady tone, noticing Yun Yun's face redden slightly.
Though she hesitated, Yun Yun was not one to be overly concerned with propriety in such dire circumstances. After taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling slightly. "Go ahead," she whispered.
Amused by Yun Yun's modesty, Mo Yu suppressed a smile. Despite her incredible strength, she was still bashful about such matters.
Helping her sit up, Mo Yu began unclasping the familiar fasteners of the armor. Once the inner armor was removed, Yun Yun's bare back was exposed to him. Her snow-white skin had a faint pink hue, trembling slightly in the cool air.
"Keep your hands and eyes in check!" Yun Yun warned sharply, her voice carrying a hint of embarrassment.
Mo Yu raised an eyebrow. Though Yun Yun was indeed a beauty, he wasn't some immature kid with no self-control. However, knowing he needed her for his plans, Mo Yu swallowed his annoyance and focused on the task at hand.
He retrieved a large black robe from his storage ring and draped it over Yun Yun's body, hiding the distracting sight from view.
Seeing his considerate gesture, the coldness in Yun Yun's eyes diminished even further.
Once Yun Yun was lying down again, Mo Yu gently pulled back part of the robe, just enough to expose her wound. He then took out a clean cloth and began carefully cleaning the blood around the claw marks.
As Yun Yun watched him tend to her injuries with such calm focus, a touch of gratitude appeared in her eyes.
After thoroughly cleaning the wound, Mo Yu applied the healing salve he had prepared earlier, gently rubbing it into the gashes before carefully bandaging her up.
"Thank you," Yun Yun said softly, her voice carrying genuine appreciation as she glanced at Mo Yu, who had just finished tending to her wounds.
