After learning the truth about his father's death, Mo Yu began to formulate a plan in his heart. The Mo Clan wasn't a massive power, but it wasn't small either.
Within the entire Jia Ma Empire, the Mo Clan could barely be considered a prominent force. After all, the top ten experts in the empire were only at the Dou Wang level, and the Mo Clan had a Dou Ling, which was enough to dominate one region.
If Mo Yu had the same talent as his original self, even if he trained for his whole life, the best he could achieve would be Dou Shi. With that level of strength, seeking revenge on the Mo Clan would be suicide. This was also why his grandfather had never revealed the truth about his father's death.
But to the current Mo Yu, the Mo Clan was nothing more than a larger grasshopper. As long as he was given a few years to grow, even a Dou Ling wouldn't be a difficult opponent.
With that thought set aside, Mo Yu turned his focus to another matter.
Xiao Clan, Xun'er's Room
For the first time since his rebirth, Mo Yu found himself visiting a girl's bedroom. He rubbed his nose awkwardly but, remembering that he needed Xun'er's help for what was to come, he thickened his skin and entered.
"Cousin Mo Yu, what a rare guest! What brings you here today?" Xun'er's clear and melodious voice echoed as she noticed the calm and composed young man seated nearby. Dressed in a green outfit that accentuated her budding figure, she smiled playfully.
Mo Yu picked up the tea Xun'er had personally served him, and a faint fragrance wafted through the air. He chuckled softly. "Haha, I have something I need your help with before I leave, so I'm here to bother you for a bit."
"Oh?" Xun'er blinked curiously, a playful glint in her eyes. "Cousin Mo Yu actually needs my help? That's rare."
"But since I remember how much you've helped Brother Xiao Yan, if there's anything you need, feel free to ask. As long as it's within my power, I'll do my best."
Though Mo Yu had expected Xun'er not to refuse, hearing her words in person still made him breathe a little easier.
On the Dou Qi Continent, if the young mistress of the Gu Clan personally intervened, almost 99% of requests could be solved.
After taking a light sip of the tea, feeling the abundant energy it contained—enough to even enhance his Dou Qi—Mo Yu smiled. He didn't immediately state his request but hinted, "This is excellent tea. I doubt even the Jia Ma Empire's royal family could afford such tea. With such a brew, I'm sure the force behind Cousin Xun'er isn't simple, right?"
Realizing that Mo Yu had brought up the tea's origins rather than directly asking for help, the clever Xun'er immediately caught on. She laughed lightly, "For certain reasons, I can't reveal too much about the force behind me. I hope Cousin Mo Yu can understand that."
"However, if you need help from that force, I do hold a rather significant position within it, so I can certainly lend you a hand."
Mo Yu couldn't help but smile as well. While Xun'er appeared to be a sweet and innocent girl, being the young mistress of the Gu Clan meant she was far more perceptive than she let on.
Knowing Xun'er's standing within her clan, Mo Yu realized she was downplaying her influence. Since she had already agreed, he didn't beat around the bush any longer and spoke directly.
"I was wondering if Cousin Xun'er could have your backing help me find information about the lower-ranked Heavenly Flames on the Heavenly Flame Ranking. If there's any news, I'd like to know as soon as possible."
"Heavenly Flames?" Xun'er's beautiful eyes flickered slightly, though the request didn't seem to trouble her. She was simply curious. "Cousin Mo Yu needs a Heavenly Flame?"
Recalling the flash of lightning Mo Yu had used at the marketplace before, Xun'er knew that her mysterious cousin certainly wasn't lacking in trump cards.
Mo Yu nodded, looking at Xun'er seriously. "Due to some reasons, I do need one of the lower-ranked Heavenly Flames. If Cousin Xun'er could find any information, I'd be grateful."
"Of course, if it's too difficult or inconvenient, I won't hold it against you."
Xun'er smiled sweetly, her eyes curving like crescent moons. "Cousin Mo Yu is too polite. Although Heavenly Flames are rare, it's not an impossible task."
"Give me three days. I'll have some information for you."
"Thank you, Cousin Xun'er. If there's ever a chance in the future, I'll repay this favor."
Hearing that Xun'er could provide information about a Heavenly Flame in just three days, a hint of surprise flashed in Mo Yu's eyes.
Even Dou Sheng experts couldn't claim to have traveled to every corner of the vast Dou Qi Continent. For Xun'er to make such a confident statement, the Gu Clan's influence was clearly beyond ordinary.
This was precisely why Mo Yu had come to seek Xun'er's help. Otherwise, with his current strength, it could take him years to find even a trace of one of the lower-ranked Heavenly Flames.
"Hehe, there's no need to be so formal, Cousin Mo Yu. You've done so much for Brother Xiao Yan and me already," Xun'er replied warmly.
With the matter resolved, Mo Yu didn't linger in Xun'er's room any longer. After a brief farewell, he left.
The girl's eyes remained calm as she watched him walk away, her thoughts unreadable, like those of an ancient sage.
After a moment of silence, she suddenly spoke, her voice gentle yet commanding, laced with an authority that didn't belong to the sweet girl from a moment ago, but to a queen.
"Come out."
As soon as the words left her mouth, a green figure separated from the shadows behind her, kneeling respectfully. "Miss."
"You heard Cousin Mo Yu's request. Inform the clan. I want information on the distribution of the lower-ranked Heavenly Flames within three days."
The green figure hesitated for a moment before responding, "Miss, the Dou Qi Continent is vast, and even the Jia Ma Empire is but a speck in the ocean. To find information on a Heavenly Flame in three days will require significant resources. The authority needed to mobilize such forces is only granted to you once every two years. Do you truly wish to use it to help Young Master Mo Yu?"
Xun'er didn't respond immediately but said softly, "Cousin Mo Yu has done a great deal for Brother Xiao Yan and me. Since he's asked for my help, I can't refuse him."
The figure remained silent for a moment before nodding in agreement. He understood his young mistress well. If there was a favor to be repaid, she would repay it fully, especially if it concerned Xiao Yan.
Just as he was about to take his leave, Xun'er spoke again.
"Besides, I believe that one day, my Gu Clan might find itself needing Cousin Mo Yu's help."
Her ethereal voice echoed in the shadowy figure's ears like a clap of thunder.
The Gu Clan was one of the strongest of the ancient clans, and Mo Yu was merely a genius from a small town.
Could it be that Young Master Mo Yu would grow into something truly terrifying in the future?
