Chapter 1 - The Awakening of the Corruption

Hiro and Ronan spawned in a beautiful plain biome, near a peaceful village. They gathered basic tools and resources, excited to build their new home. While Hiro focused on constructing the lower floor of their base, Ronan decided to venture into the nearby cave system in search of coal and cobblestones.

As Ronan entered the cave, he couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. The walls were unnaturally smooth, and the air felt heavy with an eerie presence. He discovered a tunnel that appeared to have been carved out by someone—or something—long ago. Curiosity piqued, he called for Hiro to join him in exploring this strange cave.

Deep within the cave, they came across a large hole leading straight down. Despite a lingering sense of foreboding, they leaped into the darkness, landing in a chamber corrupted by obsidian and crying obsidian. A chilling aura hung in the air, and the obsidian seemed to pulse with a sinister energy. In the center of this unsettling environment, they spotted a massive, crystal-like object, bound in chains and radiating an ominous glow.

Before Ronan could voice his concerns, Hiro, drawn by an inexplicable urge, reached out and struck the crystal with all his might. The moment it shattered, the ground trembled violently, and a dark energy surged through the cave, enveloping Hiro. He collapsed, unconscious, while strange symbols flickered around his body, hinting at a power awakening within him.

Ronan frantically tried to rouse his friend, but it took a moment for Hiro to regain consciousness. When he finally awakened, he insisted they must leave the cave immediately. Reluctantly, they sealed the entrance with obsidian bricks they salvaged from the blacksmith's chest in the village.

As they exited the cave, both players couldn't shake the feeling that they had unleashed something far beyond their understanding. The energy from the broken crystal lingered in the air, leaving them unsettled. They knew deep down that this was only the beginning of a much darker adventure ahead.
