"Daddy is back!"
Joanna was overwhelmed to see dozens of kids between the ages of two to ten swarming over Alex. The best thing was, they were calling him daddy.
When they arrived at the Manila airport, there was a driver waiting for them. Thinking they were going to lodge in a hotel or something, the driver drove to a big orphanage.
Joanna was amazed by how Alex knew the names of these kids by heart. It was clear they weren't his biological children, but the affectionate way they related to each other spoke volumes.
"Edmund. I hope you are eating your veggies," he said to a boy around three years old. The latter nodded excitedly.
"Yes, Daddy, and I've been taking care of the little ones too," he replied. Joanna laughed. Edmund was so little, yet he was acting all responsible.
