"Where is Grandpa? It's as if I've been here before and he was right here," Joanna said, pointing at the sofa on which Grandpa sat with Agnes on the day they arrived from their honeymoon.
"You remember that?" Alex was thrilled, gently massaging her shoulders. He was hopeful for her to remember something but not such keen details and that was a massive improvement.
However, he still wondered how she could not remember him as her husband. Joanna felt a slight headache as she took in the appearance of the mansion.
Alex had pre-informed Betty not to change anything in the house, so everything was pretty much the same as it was when Joanna left.
"Yes I remember, so where is Grandpa?" She asked, recalling the old man who dotted on her so much. Alex smiled and responded, "He doesn't live here."
"What?" Confusion brewed in Joanna's mind once again as she gazed around. Memories scattered in her mind, and she didn't know which was which.
