"I wonder what gives you the right to talk down on others when you are on the lowest level above the janitor in this company?" Joanna asked, the color drained from the face of Daphne, the receptionist, as Jack smiled, loving his madam's attitude.
He also deemed it right to send his boss a video of this and began working on a live one.
"Ma'am…" Daphne was saying when Joanna cut her off.
"I haven't finished talking." Her gaze was menacing, as she squinted, making Daphne uncomfortable.
Joanna might be upset with Alex, but this was among the times when she had to protect him, just as he would her.
"You sit here and talk trash about your boss because he's acting? I think you should find another job."
Such attitudes could not be tolerated by Joanna. If Daphne could speak so ill of her boss, then Joanna wondered what she might be saying about clients as well as fellow employees of the company.
