"I'm sorry, Alex, but six hours would be the earliest she would be able to wake up," the doctor stated. Alex frustratedly stared at Mia's unconscious form.
He didn't know the full story but could not believe that Mia was just a victim.
The fact that she was aware Joan was supposed to meet the King's extended family members tonight was already suspicious.
"I want to know how this happened," he said, addressing Ike.
"Sir, we would have to question the pizza delivery guy. Mia seems innocent this time. If not, she would not have also been a victim," Ike replied, but Alex had his reservations.
He was still holding Joanna in his arms, at the same time wheeling himself out.
"Check the surveillance cameras in the car park or send someone to the pizza company. I need answers now."
"On it," Ike said. The doctor asked, "What about them?" referring to Jack and Mia. Alex replied,
"Bring Jack with me but leave Mia here. I don't care for her."
