Mia felt a wave of excitement rushing through her veins. This arrangement aggrieved Joanna, just as Rene predicted after the suggestion, due to her father's condition.
"You seem surprised, or are you afraid you won't be able to meet my demands?" She taunted, Joanna perceived that Mia was there to frustrate her efforts, and this was something she had to do herself.
"I already know what to do, so I don't need you on my tail," she calmly retorted. It would be foolish of her to expose her business dealings to the likes of Mia. Having learned the hard way, she was not going to give in to foolish people.
But Mia was not planning to give up either. If she could get information on Joanna's top clients, then it would be easy for her to acquaint herself with them after getting rid of Joanna.
"How do we know you won't try to lure customers away from us? I have to be with you everywhere."
