"Be careful and keep Adelaide safe," Grandpa Aristotle said casually, but Alex could already sense something suspicious.
There was no way his grandfather would make a joke like that, which raised Alex's concern.
Grandpa Aristotle had many enemies but couldn't disclose much without being biased. However, he had faith in Alex's abilities and could only offer a warning to his favorite grandson.
"Is there something you want me to know?" Alex inquired, unable to conceal the worry evident on his face, especially when it involved Joanna.
Grandpa shook his head and replied, "No. Let me see how far they will go."
His response heightened Alex's anxiety, prompting him to ask again, "What are you talking about?" Knowing his grandfather, whatever was looming must be significant to warrant such a caution.
"You are not a man who needs to be spoon-fed. You are too old for that," the old man responded nonchalantly.
