It took Joanna some time to adjust herself, but she hesitated to enter the car where the door was held open for her.
"You. You are the one who almost hit me with this car," she pointed at the driver, then turned to Alex. "You were the one in the car?" Her face was already beaded with sweat at the observation.
She remembered that when she witnessed the proposal gone wrong, Alex's face looked familiar, but she couldn't connect him to that incident.
