Chereads / Reborn As A Playboy Queen / Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

I really can't say, that very beautiful woman is Xavier's younger sister, I mean King Zavier. Why should it be him? As much as possible I don't want to deal with him.

"What's wrong, Ella? Why are you suddenly quiet?"

"Ah...n-no, Your Highness! I just thought that you were too beautiful to be that guy's sister!"

"That guy?"

"I-I mean, His Majesty King Zavier. You are so beautiful, while he is just an ordinary man. How unexpected, hahahaha..." I laughed out loud like a fool. I don't know what I'm really thinking right now.

"So you think His Majesty the King is an ordinary man? But I think there are many women who praise that he is very handsome!"

"Handsome? Hahaha...I think people praise him because he is a king. Many women have poor taste!" I said, subconsciously trying to get Princess Minka's attention by badmouthing her brother. I know it's ridiculous, but for some reason this is the only thing that comes to mind.

She looked at me with a confused look as if she didn't believe what I was saying. I immediately stopped laughing and realized that I was in trouble if I continued with this useless nonsense.

"You're really very attractive, Ella! Honestly, this is the first time I've heard of a woman finding my brother unattractive. Because as far as I know, everyone always compliments him. So may I know what your type is?" Asked the princess. I felt restless, for some reason my heart was beating fast. My playboy soul struggled as if hoping that she would become my next lover.

"My type is like you." I said while looking at her with barely blinking eyes.

"What?"

"I-I mean, I like someone as graceful and exquisite as you." I answered confusedly.

"Hahaha...you're so funny, Ella! I understand why His Majesty the King is so interested in you. It's because you're very attractive."

"T-thank you." I said disappointed. I felt a little calm, happy that His Majesty was interested in me. Oh Princess Minka, what I want is you who is interested in me, not that guy.

"Okay, then see you later? Looks like I have to go back to the middle of the party. Do you want to stay here? Don't you want to dance?"

"I-I can't dance-"

"Really?"

"Y-yeah, I think so."

"That's a shame, isn't it? Ok, I have to go back now. See you?"

"S-see you, Your Majesty-"

"Aaagh...damn it, why do I have to be a girl...?" I shouted in frustration. This is really unlucky, more unlucky than being caught red-handed by my three girlfriends.

In my entire life, I have never met, let alone shaken, a woman as beautiful as her. Even though Mary Jane is very beautiful, Princess Minka's beauty is on a different level. She is even prettier than Victoria Secret supermodel.

"Why are you shouting like that?"

A man's voice made my daydreams about my life's misfortunes suddenly disappear. I turned towards the balcony entrance, where a man in very luxurious clothes was standing proudly and looking at me with eyes that I could hardly understand.

"Xavier?"

"Xavier?"

"I-I mean Your Majesty-" I stuttered. He suddenly appeared when I was just thinking about his very beautiful and elegant little sister.

He stepped closer to me, looking at me as if analyzing everything inside me. Damn, the more I look at him the more he looks like Xavier. Why did he get such a good role in my second life?

He stopped walking and stood right in front of me. Even though I really hate to admit it, actually as a man I have long admitted that Xavier is very handsome. Maybe that's why I used to hate him so much because he was very handsome, he was tall, he was smart, he was athletic and too perfect. In contrast to me who was born as a useless guy.

"I saw the Marquitas Family coming to this party, but I didn't see you anywhere. It turns out you're here, Ella!" He said. His voice sounded very soft even though it was still deep and heavy. Damn, even his voice sounded so masculine and charming.

"S-sorry Your Majesty, but what business do you have to look for me for?" I asked a little sarcastically. I don't know what he really wants from me.

"I want to ask you to dance!"

"What?"

"Will you dance with me?"

"Are you kidding me? Does my face look like I could dance?" I said while pointing at my annoyed face.

"You're a great dancer and dancing isn't something that's difficult for you to do, right?"

"No...no, wait a minute, Dude!"

"Dude?"

"I think you're misunderstanding me! I'm not interested in doing silly things like dancing. I'd rather stay on this balcony, sipping a bottle of wine while breathing in the fresh air!" I said with full confidence. He looked at me as if he couldn't believe what I had just said. But come on, I feel very uncomfortable being in a very intimate situation like this with a man. I would prefer if Princess Minka were to stay here.

"Hahaha...you're really funny, Ella!"

"A few minutes ago, your very beautiful sister also told me that."

"My sister? You mean Princess Minka? You met her?"

"Yeah she came here just like you did, dude!"

"Dude? Haha...you use very unique vocabulary, Ella!"

"Can you stop being gentle with me? So cringe."

"I just feel like you've been a little strange since you fell into the lake that time. Did that incident really affect you?"

That incident? How do I explain to him that I don't remember the incident at all. What happened before and why it happened, I have absolutely no idea.

"I-I don't know, I honestly can't remember-" I said carelessly. It seems like pretending not to remember is the safest way.

Suddenly he grabbed my hand and held it, then what he did next became even more unexpected. He kissed my hand and made me have to see his face from a very close distance.

"Damn Xavier, even in this life you're still handsome. You're insolent!" I thought.

At that time I slapped his hand away and rebuked him when he tried to kiss my hand. This time I just kept quiet and let him kiss my hand even though I really wanted to hit him.

"Ella, you really don't want to dance with me?" He asked again and this made me even more confused about refusing him. In this world he is king, right? How can a commoner like me reject a king?

"H-how is this? I don't know how to dance at all. How would I ever do something like that. My body must be very stiff besides I could step on his feet if I force myself!" I thought. This is a very difficult situation.

"T-that s-I really can't dance, Your Majesty. That's why-"

"Okay, I understand. Maybe you're feeling very nervous or maybe I'm not the guy you're waiting for to ask you to dance. Then, excuse me! See you, Ella?" He said as he walked away. He made me feel guilty for daring to refuse a king's request.

My head is thinking hard, I really don't know what to do. I can't dance and I've never danced in my life. Besides, I really hate the clothes I'm wearing.

"Ella...! Ella...!"

Only two minutes after the King left me on the balcony, the witch's voice was heard calling my name.

"Agh...damn it, the witch must be looking for me. If she finds out I'm hiding here, she'll definitely scold me!"

Panicking, I hurriedly hid the empty wine bottle that I had previously gulped down until there was nothing left. I didn't want her to see me drinking a bottle of wine alone.

I straightened my dress again and put my shoes back on, then left the balcony to approach the witch.

"Mother...!"

"Oh my God, where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere!" She said while trying to hold back her irritation.

"Sorry, Mother. I went out for a moment to get some fresh air."

"Come here, I want to introduce you to Count Albergen and his son, Henry Albergen!"

"But for what?"

"Count Albergen wanted to meet you in person after his eldest son told him about you several times."

"Tell me about me?

"I don't know when you knew Henry Albergen that he claimed to know you so well." She said as if he was suspicious of me.

Henry Albergen? I don't even know who that person is? Actually, what did this woman named Ella do that made men act so strangely like this?

"I-I don't know either, I don't think I know him!"

"You don't know him? Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I'm serious."

This witch frowned as if she couldn't believe my confession. What else should I say to him? I really don't know that guy named Henry Albergen.
