Grey instinct failed him and he was unable to move as Malric skeletal finger was about to pierce his eyes.
But then a blur of blue fur slammed into Malric, shoving it back just before its claws made contact.
Apollo snarled, his golden eyes blazing as he launched an ice shard at the creature.
The frosty attack struck Malric's ribcage, causing it to hiss and recoil.
Apollo roared, his voice echoing through the space and he said to Grey:
"LEAVE! GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!"
Grey staggered back, his mind reeling from the close call.
He watched as Apollo with a ferocious roar, charged at Malric, his body a blur of motion.
Malric didn't flinch on seeing the monkey approaching. Instead, it raised its skeletal arms, releasing the chains wrapped around its limbs.
The chains hissed and uncoiled, snapping through the air like whips as they lashed toward Apollo.
