Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Now that they decided to stay, the two spaceships also needed to be packed away.

In fact, Kara hadn't planned on asking for this before. If she wanted to take Kal (who should now be called Clark), she definitely couldn't fly the spaceship without being shot down.

Although the level of science and technology on Earth is too low nowadays, it's impossible for her to stay in the spaceship without eating or drinking for the rest of her life. Once someone locked her up, she would be in great danger.

So, being adopted by the Kent couple is the best outcome.

Kara also felt relieved that someone could take care of Clark, who was still a baby, and she didn't have to worry about that.

Actually, even in her previous life, she was just a high school student. She didn't have any children of her own—they were siblings, and she wasn't Clark's mother.

While packing up the spaceship, Kara also found some small items from her own ship, including a special object in Clark's spaceship.

They were two small things, very similar in appearance to a stone, pure black in color, not square but somewhat triangular, about the size of a finger, like 'long sticks.'

Because Kara absorbed all the original memories of this body, she knew it was the controller used to open many mechanisms in Krypton, and it had an "S" logo on it.

That wasn't the letter "S" commonly recognized on Earth, but rather the logo of the House of El on Krypton, and it also symbolized hope.

Both Kara and Clark possessed this mechanism, which meant they had inherited the authority of their respective parents and families. Not only could they operate their spaceships, but they could also control and activate other Kryptonian technology when they encountered it.

Krypton began exploring and colonizing the universe 100,000 years ago, but for some reason, they decided to give up later.

Perhaps it was the restrictions imposed by the Genetic Code that prevented them from leaving their home planet, and in the end, they had no choice but to abandon their plan for mass migration.

Otherwise, Apokolips and the New Gods wouldn't exist in the universe, nor would the so-called Lantern Corps. The Kryptonian army could have destroyed everything.

One Superman is powerful enough—imagine tens of thousands, or even millions of Supermen!

After putting the little object away, Kara also found a set of clothes in her spaceship.

It was a dark blue bodysuit for the upper half, a red skirt for the lower half, and a pair of red boots with an S logo printed on the chest, a bright red cape on the back, and an S on the back of the cape.

Other than the skirt, isn't this the most classic Superman outfit?

Superman's version has pants, and Kara's version has a skirt.

Luckily, it's a skirt; otherwise, Kara wouldn't want to 'wear underwear on the outside.'

Kara scratched her cheek. A female Superman?

In the past, she didn't like watching those kinds of emotional and literary dramas. She preferred "martial arts films" and sci-fi movies, especially superhero films.

Who would have thought she'd one day have the chance to become a superhero herself? Now she was really looking forward to it.

Only Kara has her own battle suit; Clark doesn't have his yet because he's still too young.

Sorry, little brother.

Kara happily packed this battle suit, which was built using Kryptonian technology.

The original material of the suit has the basic ability to be indestructible and invulnerable.

If combined with Superman-level defense power, nothing could harm Kara unless it reached an extreme level.

Even the suit had great absorption capabilities—it could perfectly absorb the golden rays of the sun.

Everyone knows that Superman's power comes from sunlight. Other than red sunlight, golden sunlight greatly enhances Kryptonians' abilities.

This was very important.

After Kara packed everything that needed packing, Jonathan felt a slight headache as he looked at the two large spaceships.

Since the spaceship needed to be hidden, they couldn't ask for help, but how were they supposed to move it to the attic of the barn and hide it?

"Let me do it," Kara suddenly approached the side of the spaceship, lifted her hands to grasp the edge, and exerted strong force.

Thud!

Suddenly, Kara jumped with the spaceship, easily leaping more than ten meters high.

Even Kara was stunned herself—she simply felt like the spaceship wasn't too heavy; at least, she could lift it.

But Kara hadn't expected to have such great strength, or perhaps it was because Earth's gravity was too light?

Kara looked down, and instead of falling rapidly, she descended more slowly, like a light feather.

Kara finally realized that for her, Earth's gravity felt too light and was completely incomparable to the gravity she had felt before on Krypton.

This allowed her to easily overcome gravity, and perhaps even flying wouldn't be a problem.

Jonathan and Martha looked at each other, seeing the surprise in each other's eyes.

Although they knew these two kids had extraordinary origins, being aliens who had escaped from the destruction of their planet, Kara was only ten years old—did she really have such incredible strength?

God only knows how terrifying the people of that planet must have been. If they were hostile to Earth, the consequences would be unimaginable. Fortunately, their race had already been wiped out.

"Ah!"

Suddenly, Kara, who was about to land, let out a cry of pain, released the spaceship, and fell to the ground on her feet.

"What's wrong?" Jonathan and Martha, who were holding Clark, hurried over. They had grown fond of these two children who had suddenly fallen from the sky. If not for their extraterrestrial origins, the Kent couple would have thought they were a gift from God.

So, they were anxious about what had happened to Kara.

Kara covered her ears with her hands, shook her head vigorously, and cried, "It's too noisy!"

Noisy?

It turned out that many noises had suddenly flooded Kara's ears.

Her super hearing had started to awaken.

With Kara at the center, she could now hear every sound within a 100-meter radius, from the rustling wind to the crawling of underground rats and the buzzing of insects flying in the crops.

She could even hear the movements of some ants.

Such sudden and overwhelming noise was like someone banging a gong and drum right next to her ears, a truly terrifying experience.

Kara was dazed for a while, and when she looked up at Jonathan and Martha, her super vision began to activate unconsciously.

At first, she could see through her adoptive parents' bodies, observing their hearts, bones, and even the flow of blood throughout their bodies.

What's more, it had a microscope-like effect—she could clearly see tiny details such as fingerprints and cell structures.

In the end, Kara just felt her eyes heat up, and she quickly turned her head to look in another direction. In the next second, two blue laser beams shot out from her eyes.

This was one of Superman's most famous abilities—heat vision.

After arriving on Earth, Kara had finally started to awaken.
