"75, 76, 77,78, 79, 80". Yes, Alex was bored enough to start counting tiles.
Through the span of time that Vincent had left, Alex had gone through more emotions than he ever had in his whole life. From nervousness to hopelessness to fear and back to nervousness, followed by even more fear to tiredness and finally his current state boredom.
It felt as if an enternity had passed, but in reality it was just a few hours but time had a way of moving impossibly slow when you were locked up in a cabin in the middle of nowhere without even your phone.
Alex could imagine how worried his friends, especially Anna and mother would be, the poor woman would be freaking out, he had been missing for a day.
Staring at the forest through the window he contemplated escaping but that would be suicidal. Vincent had set one hell of a trap, wild animals outside and boredom inside. There was no useful weapon in the cabin either as he had gathered from his exploration, which wasn't really much. The cabin only consisted of a living room, a small kitchen, a bathroom and the room he was currently sitting in each bare except of the needs they should hold.
A noise at the front door startled him thinking it was Vincent he rushed out of the room.
"I thought you died, or something-" Alex paused, voice stopped freezing in his throat as he stumbled back.
Alex had decided that watching Vincent kill that lady or vampire whatever she was, was the scariest thing he would ever witness in his life but he was so wrong.
When Vincent had said wild animals, Alex's imagination had been limited to wolves, bears and the likes, but this thing was a monster, the only suitable word to describe the 8ft tall wolf in front of him, it's midnight fur shone amber eyes locked onto his small frame.
Alex stumbled and fell on his butt so this was how he was going to die in a small unknown cabin torn apart by a beast; Anna I love you but green isn't really your color and mum please forgive me for all the pain I am going to cau-.
His brain lagged for a few seconds before it processed what was happening, an 8ft tall wolf was weird enough, but watching it turn into a man definitely topped that.
The man was tall with black hair and amber eyes, his bulging muscles and broad shoulders made him look like the hulk, his features were chillsed as though a sculpture specially molded by the gods, he looked like an older form of Vincent just with more muscles.
How did your clothes not rip?" Alex asked, eyes fixed on the neat sapphire blue suit that hugged his frame.
Mr Wolf filed an eyebrow. "That's your reaction after watching a wolf turn to a man, your kind is usually a whole lot more dramatic than that."
Maybe Mr Wolf was right but Alex blamed his response on his brain which was currently lagginh, but then again in a world that had vampires, werewolves didn't seem all that surprising.
"Where's my son," He asked, his towering frame blocking the door as he glared condescendingly at Alex who still sat on the floor.
Who?" Alex asked.
"My son, Vincent." Mr Wolf rolled his eyes.
Of course his son could only be Vincent, who else had been to the cabin, well Marcel had been here but the striking resemblance should have answered the question, again his brain was feeling sluggish.
"He went to the warlock," Alex answered.
"Warlock To do what?" Mr Wolf sounded angry.
"To erase my memory," Alex answered.
"Is your brain broken or something? What's with the half replies?" He huffed in frustration.
They stared at each other for a moment before Mr Wolf walks forward and lifts Alex off the ground to meet his face.
Alex is sure he isn't as light as a feather, but this man casually holds him in the air without breaking a sweat.
"I knew my son was hiding something when that no good troublemaker told me he was in his cabin,"
No good troublemaker? Was he talking about Marcel Alex wondered?
"But I didn't think it was human," He said the word human with barely hidden distaste as though the word disgusted him.
With a thud, Alex landed on the ground wincing as pain shot through his left shoulder.
You are coming me". He thundered with finality.
"I am not, Vincent is com-" Alex panicked, he would choose Vincent over his father any day.
"I said you are coming with me". Alex's disobedience obviously irked him, his eyes flashed a golden color and a growl rumbled in his chest, Alex gulped reminded that this hulk of a man was not human.
"Al.. Alright chill I...I am coming. He stuttered.
"Better, I wonder why your kind always likes force." He muttered as he walked out.
Alex watched in astonishment as his body arched forward, limbs stretching, bones cracking as fur grew all over his skin.
Only a few seconds was all it took for him to go from man to wolf.
It nudged its huge head at Alex signalling him to climb up. After a few embarrassing struggles Alex remained unable to climb up, in his defense how was he supposed to climb this mountain.
The wolf growled before it lowered its body to the ground allowing Alex to climb up. Contrary to his expectations, the fur was not soft, it was hard and prickly; very uncomfortable.
The wolf turned its head and growled softly, Alex tilted his head unable to understand, wolf was not part of the language he learned.
"I am sorry to break it to you, but we have a language barrier." He chuckled, the wolf rolled its eyes.
"Oh, my God!Did you just roll your eyes? Can a wolf do that or is it just a werewolf thing?" Alex gasped in astonishment.
There was no reply to his question as the wolf started to run. The whole world turned into a blur in Alex's eyes grabbing tight onto the wolf's fur. The wind rushed past his ears and his eyes glued shut he could feel the taste of vomit and blood mixed in his mouth, he could feel his organs shaking and wondered if he was going to survive this ride.
Darn those stories, riding on a werewolf was not cool at all. He cursed inwardly as his consciousness faded to black.

When Alex woke up it was due to a pressing urge in his bladder. He blinked gaze adjusting to the darkness of his current surroundings. He was laying on a small wooden bed, the room too dark for him to make out anything except for the outline of the door.
"Hello is there anyone there? I need to pee". He yelled.
Alex waited for an answer but was meet with silence.
"I really need to pee". He yelled. More silence.
Alex remained sitted on the bed counting minutes by the time he had counted twenty minutes and still no reply he stood up. No way this dumb werewolves or whatever were going to make his bladder explode.
He grabbed the door in anger and it opened. Staring into the empty hallways he realized that there were no guards in front of the door.
According to common sense shouldn't he be locked up and guarded unless, the werewolves didn't see him as something worth calling a threat. The thought was both relaxing and depressing at the same time.
"Now I just have to find a bathroom and hopefully find a way to get out of here.
Slamming the fifth door shut, Alex huffed still no bathroom in sight, just empty small dark rooms like the one he was coming from.
Opening the sixth door he ran into a strange sight. Two men drawing an ugly diagram at the wall and a little boy laying unconscious on one of the men's shoulder.
Alex felt a strong sense of dejavu when a gust of wind brushed past his face.
"What do we do with him?". One of the men asked as they stared the boy who they had knocked unconscious.
"We will take him with us". The other gruffed.
