Epilogue
Elodie POV
As I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my graduation cap, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. It had been a year and six months since Hannah and I made amends, and what a difference it had made. Mum was happy, I was happy and so was hannah the weight of our past disagreement had lifted, and I had finally found peace.
Mum beamed with pride as she took photos of me and Hannah together her eyes shining with happiness. I smiled, feeling grateful for her unwavering support.
Hannah and I exchanged excited glances as we prepared to take the stage for our graduation speech.
We had come a long way since our falling out, and I was thrilled that we would be taking this next step together. We had both been accepted into the same college, and I couldn't wait to start this new chapter with my best friend by my side.
Although Hannah had ended things with Daniel, a decision I hadn't entirely agreed with, I had chosen not to press the issue. She had made it clear that her mind was made up, and I didn't want to risk driving a wedge between us again. Instead, I focused on supporting her, if it meant accepting her choices, even when I didn't fully understand them.
This senior year had been a transformative journey, teaching me valuable lessons about friendship, love, and growth. One of the most important things I'd learned was the art of letting go – releasing grudges, forgiving, and moving forward.
And as I looked at Hannah, I knew that nothing was more important than our friendship. Having her by my side, through all of life's ups and downs, was worth more than any disagreement or difference of opinion. Our bond was unbreakable, and I was grateful for that.
As we walked off the stage, diplomas in hand, I felt a sense of joy and contentment wash over me. I had learned that true friendship can withstand even the toughest challenges, and I was grateful to have Hannah in my life. We hugged, tears of happiness streaming down our faces, as we celebrated our achievement and the bright future ahead.
