The morning of the next day, Bridget started to wake up when she felt the sunlight hitting her eyelids; she smiled when she remembered last night.
She started to touch her surroundings, but the bed was completely cold; for a second, she thought yesterday was a dream.
"Matthew?" No answer. She stood up and searched the house, but Matthew wasn't there, which is why she rushed back to her room to call him, but she quickly grinned when she found a message from Matthew saying he would get back later and asked her not to worry.
She quickly took a shower and went back to sleep; she needed Matthew to start her day.
What felt like short seconds for Bridget was hours. "I'm back."
The half-asleep Bridget heard Matthew whispering in her ear before feeling a strong arm pulling her into a warm back hug.
They both are so happy, but this is just the calm before the storm.
