Chapter 6: The First Day of Dating
The day finally arrived, marking the first day of Noah and Kai's one-week relationship. Noah woke up with a mix of excitement and nerves, eagerly anticipating Kai's visit later that day. After breakfast, he busied himself with chores, trying to calm his racing heart.
When noon approached, Noah's anticipation reached its peak. He had invited Kai over because his grandma had made a special cake for the festival, and he couldn't wait to share it with him.
As the doorbell rang, Noah's heart skipped a beat. He quickly opened the door to find Kai standing there, dressed in a black T-shirt and navy blue jeans that accentuated his toned figure. He looked effortlessly handsome, and Noah felt a rush of warmth.
"Hey," Noah greeted, trying to keep his cool.
"Hey," Kai replied, a grin spreading across his face. "Ready for some cake?"
"Always!" Noah said, stepping aside to let Kai in.
They walked to the kitchen, where Grandma had set out the cake. After they enjoyed the delicious treat, Noah decided to show Kai his room. He had decorated the walls with posters of his favorite artists, and he was excited to share that part of himself with Kai.
As they entered, Kai laughed at the posters, making Noah feel a sense of relief. They chatted and exchanged playful banter, and soon enough, Grandma called Noah out of the room.
When Noah returned, he found Kai staring thoughtfully at a picture of his parents on the bedside table. Noah felt a swell of affection as he approached him, and without thinking, he playfully tapped Kai on the shoulder from behind.
Startled, Kai turned, and in an instant, they were chasing each other around the room, laughter filling the air. They finally collapsed on the bed, breathless and grinning from ear to ear.
In that moment, something shifted. Noah looked at Kai, his heart racing as he saw the glint of mischief in his eyes. Without overthinking, he leaned in and kissed Kai softly.
This time, there was no hesitation. Kai responded immediately, deepening the kiss as their lips moved together. Noah felt the warmth radiating between them, and it felt right—electric, even.
After a moment that felt both fleeting and infinite, they pulled away, breathless. Noah's cheeks flushed as he met Kai's gaze, unsure of what to say next, but a sense of joy washed over him.
"Wow," Kai breathed, still close, a smile spreading across his face.
"Yeah, wow," Noah echoed, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. They both knew this was just the beginning of something special.
