The heavenly smell of freshly brewed coffee with a mild sweet music in the background is the only thing I needed after this hectic week of exams. I look at Nolan as he scrolls through his phones screen. He is gonna give us a treat here today as he passed the written evaluation of Montridge University. Time is running away so quickly.
"Wasn't that your cousin who picked you up from my home that day?" Siya asks even though she already knew the answer.
"He's Oliver. My therapist too."
"W-what? He's a therapist? I guessed he could be a fitness trainer by the way."
"I'm sorry but you're wrong."
"He's way too handsome to be a therapist though." She rolls her eyes.
"Probably. Tell me if you need his therapy."
Siya gives me a jaded look. I wink at her and take a sip from my espresso. It's a lovely sunny day. Perfect to go on a date. I look outside and follow a falling crimson maple leaf with my eyes through the window. And then my eyes get caught on a boy riding his bicycle.
It's Parth.
I take my bag and get up from the table at once. "Sorry guys, I have to leave now. Mumma's calling".
"Hey, call me if you get free tonight okay?" Siya says but I have already left the cafe.
I thought I would lose him but now I can see his bicycle parked out of the local Library, just as I hoped. I pretend to look for a book there as I enter the library. Parth is talking with a man who seems to be the owner of this. I peep through the gap of books. Seems like a he got a new haircut which suits him so perfectly. Dark black hair contrasted exceptionally with his light brown eyes which are piercing through my skin, my heart. And right then I realise, he's looking at me, directly, smiling and confusedly.
"Hey you! Tarish?"
I get to uncomfortable at this sudden occurrence. He realises it too. "I think you were looking for something here?" he asks.
"Y-yeah. No. Actually I'm not sure. I never came here before so I was just checking out this place."
"Then you should come here more often. It's a nice cozy place, also has some rare books. I'm also joining here as a librarian soon."
"I see. I couldn't find you at the campus for days. I was a bit worried."
"Yeah, I hurried out of the school as soon as the exams ended. I was a lot busy managing a part time job. But as I got one here now, maybe we can see ourselves on campus now. Haha."
He has got such a charming smile that I can't keep my eye contact with him. "Parth, can I have some of your time?"
"Sure. Let's go sit somewhere nice. I know a place near."
The moment we got out of the library, I could see Nolan from the corner of my eye standing some distance away. I try not to face him and get away with Parth. It's really a nice weather today. I hope people are enjoying it with their loved ones.
