Adam found the twins by the stairs. They were well-behaved and did not linger at the entrance of the Hufflepuff dormitory.

"What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Oh! Adam, you're finally here, my friend!"

One of the twins saw Adam, his eyes lighting up as he walked over with open arms.

Faced with such a warm welcome, Adam couldn't help but take a half step back.

"Hey! Fred, you scared him."

Robert hooked his brother's collar and pulled him back.

"Ahem, okay, let's be more reserved."

Fred cleared his throat, and then both he and Robert looked at Adam and said in unison:

"My dear friend, are you interested in joining Fred and Robert's great cause?"

"... Great cause?"

Adam raised his eyebrows. Aren't these two just good at playing pranks?

"Yes!"

The two of them pulled out a bunch of colorful candies like a magic trick.

"These are the great inventions of Fred and Robert!" Fred picked up a candy and said proudly, "Just one, and you'll start having nosebleeds, letting you skip class without a hitch!"

"It should be noted that your health won't be affected during this process. Of course, it's best to act like you're weak," Robert added.

The two then introduced more candies—some that could induce vomiting, some that caused fever, and others that could render a person unconscious. They called them quick-acting skipping candies.

"How is it? Isn't it a super great invention? You're tempted to buy it just hearing about it, right?"

For most students, these might be very practical tools for skipping class. But clearly, the two hadn't done much research on Adam.

"These candies are indeed... very innovative, so why did you come to me?"

Adam suddenly had a bad feeling: "Let me be clear upfront, I'm not going to help you sell these things. I want the food I sell to bring happiness to people."

"Our inventions bring happiness too!" Fred defended their creations, waving his hand.

"But we aren't asking you to help us sell them. Actually, these are far from finished products in our eyes."

"That's right. Even though these quick-acting skipping candies have practical effects, their taste is completely off. You can smell something wrong right away, not to mention the taste—it's impossible to hide what they are."

The brothers sighed together.

"We spend almost as much time on flavoring as we do mixing the ingredients!"

"Do you want to try it?"

"No, thank you."

Adam quickly refused the candy the brothers handed him. He had a feeling about their real purpose.

"So you're asking me to... flavor these prank props?"

"Exactly! That's why we've come to you, the candy-making expert!" The two looked at Adam with shining eyes.

"You can even make candy shaped like Hogwarts! That's genius! If we work together, these quick-acting skipping candies will be a hit!"

"There's more than that. We have so many good ideas. It's just that making these things requires more than genius prank ideas—it needs talents like cooking," Robert chimed in.

"With your help, we can turn all our ideas into reality!"

After hearing their pitch, Adam thought for a moment.

"It's not entirely out of the question. It sounds like there's definitely a market for this."

Hearing that, smiles appeared on the twins' faces.

"But how much are you going to pay me? You're not expecting me to work for free, right?"

"Ahem, of course, we wouldn't ask that!" Although they hadn't planned on having Adam work for free, the twins, who were strapped for cash, looked around nervously.

While they hadn't asked about Adam's studies, they had certainly done their research on his business. Even though Adam had kept prices low in Hufflepuff, the twins were impressed by his profits.

After all, Adam had a small profit margin, but his sales were high. Almost the entire Hufflepuff house was his customer, and Hufflepuff had the largest student population at Hogwarts.

"While we don't have much money right now, we can offer you a share of the profits!" Fred said.

Adam's interest piqued. The twins seemed to have thought this through. Were they seriously considering turning prank-making into a future business?

"You can see the potential of these quick-acting skipping candies, right? We're sure students will be lining up to buy them once they're launched!"

"We can make this the first project of our partnership and give you 30%... no, 40% of the profits from each candy! And if it works out, we can expand into more projects."

It has to be said that the twins' approach was a bit like entrepreneurs selling a dream with just words, and they didn't even have a proper presentation. They just brought their semi-finished product to Adam, hoping to convince him as a potential investor.

Perhaps it was Adam's successful shop that spurred them to think about profiting from prank props earlier than expected.

After hearing their plan, Adam fell into deep thought.

It has to be said, their pitch was enticing. Even if Adam didn't factor in his favorable opinion of the twins, this was a sure win for him.

He knew the future of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes would be very successful, especially with the quick-acting skipping candies.

The only issue was that by joining them, he'd actually have to spend time flavoring the candies. Was it worth it for him to devote that time? It wasn't a problem he could solve with Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, and he had no intention of teaching it to others. How would they handle the seasoning process when the candies hit mass production?

If he were only considering profits, spending time to flavor the candies would be worthwhile. But Adam wasn't short of money. Even without his shop, his parents' restaurant and hotel business was enough for him to live comfortably for hundreds of years. Not to mention, he had access to the Philosopher's Stone, which could turn any material into gold.

The twins saw how much money Adam made from selling desserts, but in truth, his reason for selling desserts was more about enjoying the process than making a profit.

To flavor these prank candies...

As Adam considered the offer, his brows furrowed deeper, and the twins grew increasingly nervous.
